COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The barrel aging process is a labor intensive endeavour where beer is matured in wood barrels. As the beer ages, the wood imparts unique and complex flavors. The Odell Brewers selected new American Oak barrels for their first offering. The 750ml bottles will be hand-corked, and each bottle will be signed and numbered. After the Oak Aged Ale is bottled, the label and recipe will be retired.

Musty Nose & woody, maybe even a slight sweet hint as well...even a touch of strawberry...and the nose grows fruitier and frutier. Beer pours amber/brown with a full sheet of head atop. Thick mouthfeel. Bitterness nice and strong. I sense some licorice notes here as well amongst the other musty, plasticy stuff going on.

750ml bottle 4/18/10 Bottle #1944 (Courtesy of RSRIZZO)-54° in English Pint-Pours a slightly hazy brown with a huge off white head. Aroma of oak, vanilla, caramel, and alcohol. Taste of caramel, sweetness, oak, brown sugar, and dried fruits. This full bodied brew is very well balanced and is very delicious. I believe it being aged has balanced and smoothed it out very nice.

Bottle at home with friends, courtesy of Scott. Thanks man! Pour is hazy orange with a small white head that quickly dissipated. Orange peel, caramel, oak, fruity, light lemon, and grass in the aroma. Taste is rich toffee, caramel, brown sugar, bread, grassy, and tangy with a light alcoholic burn on the backed. Light body with medium carbonation. Really cool stuff and has held up well.
