3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a finger and half of head on a clear golden colored body. Looks amazing.
The aroma is light and floral.
The taste has a mild lemon bitterness at first, grapefruit bittering, mild honey to balance it out, finishes on a bitter note.
The texture is crisp with moderate carbonation.
Quite enjoyable and tasty with a low ABV.

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
A bitter tang of hoppiness and very little complexity. Not much going on here for a craft beer. Gorgeous pour with a lovely full head. Reminded me of your buddy’s early home brew.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle pour, top pop sounded like it had lots of pressure. Huge white foamy head over light amber body. Aroma is lager like, with a hint of saison. Taste is mostly light malt and hops bitter, a bit of spice, or carbonation. Body is light, ample carbonation. Finish us clean bitter. Just not much going on here, kinda boring.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
A real simple but very nice brassy golden/bronze body, clear with some mix of rising cola fast carbonation and slow rising pin head bubbles. White rock head settles nicely and slowly, with some ring like lacing. Very beautiful looking Kolsch.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Drinkable and solid. Slightly sweet. Deviates from the Kolsch standard -- perhaps that’s why they say "Kolsch style." Nevertheless, enjoyable for a low ABV beer.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft pour. Pours light with little to no head. Flavor is mostly corn with a lot of grassy, earthy flavors as well. Nothing too much stands out from this one. Very plain. It was very much drinkable, but I’ll call it just okay.

2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 6/20
I am a fan of Kolsch and Kolsch style ales. Goose Island makes a pretty good one. However Freya’s Gold does not live up to my expectations.
FG pours a lite golden color with a think white head. It is nice and bubbly on the tongue. It is lite enough that if you were looking to quench a thirst you could chug this. However it seems to have a slightly off putting musty almost skunky aftertaste. Maybe I just got a bad bottle, but with all the great beers out there I’m not likely to come back and give it another chance.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
8/28/2012. From bottle. Golden yellow with a white head. Malt and caramel aromas with light fruit, spice and earthy notes. Medium carbonation, caramel flavors and light hops on the finish.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Undated bomber. Clear pale straw yellow, small lasting foamy white head. Aroma is muted malty, grassy citrus. Lightly bitter, lemon citrus, lightly honey sweet grainy malty taste, mild herbal grassy hop hints. Nice flavors, this would be so much better if the carbonation wasn’t so soft. Finishes clean, yet limp, but it’s still: LF (Lagerboy Friendly)
