Bomber bought at Super 1 in CDA, ID; listed as "Odinít Gift: Amber Ale brewed with juniper berries." Pours a beautiful clear ruby red with a medium beige head with good retention. Weak nose consists of faint caramel, bready malt. Taste starts out sweet but turns bitter mid-palate. The juniper berries are noticeable, but unobtrusive (I would rather they be obtrusive!). Creamy mouthfeel and somewhat soft carbonation. Boring.

Great Beer. Pours very clear and produces a great head. Taste is smooth and subtle at first. But gives an after taste with the juniper berries that makes you want to taste again to figure everything out. I would order another one!

On tap at Brooklyn. Malt-heavy with slight berry taste and very mild citrus hop accents. Somewhat punchless.

Bomber. Clear darker copper, creamy foamy tan head mostly fades. Medium roast caramel malt forward aroma and taste, herbal earthy hoppiness, some berry fruitiness and smoke. Soft carbonation, medium bodied, moderately hopped. Finishes malty and sweet. NFL (Not For Lagerboys)

Pours a finger and half of head on a deep red-brown colored body. The aroma is grassy, juniper berries and dry hay. The taste is balanced with some mild lemon and juniper bitterness coming through. The texture is dry, crisp with moderate carbonation. A good ale and the juniper adds a nice dry bitterness effect.

I have tried this beer on numerous occasions, whether on draft or from a bottle. Every time it never fails to underwhelm me. Usually some hot girl I know will just gush about this beer and Iíll be like ok, Iím willing to try it AGAIN because she says so. Pours purpley-amber with almost no head, and whatever head that forms, quickly dissipates. Aroma is muddy, candy-sweet with a slight piney aroma, a bit more spruce-like really. Sugary sweet up front in flavor, with a mixed candy-like sweetness. There really isnít enough bitterness to hold up the sugar, it seems bitter in the "old orange peel pith" kinda way. Similar to frozen concentrated orange juice. Iíve tried to like this beer on many many occasions, yet it still fails to impress me.

Amber pour, yellowed/tan head. Citrus hops, caramel, some alcohol warmth. Nothing spectacular but not offensive.

Bottle shared. Certainly an amped up amber with some dark roast, caramel, cofffee, some char/smoke and the junipers poke through slightly. Ok.

Bottle. Mahogony-brown beer with a dark cream head. Juniper and malt aroma. Juniper and malt flavor with light caramel. Medium bodied. Juniper and light caramel lingers. Would score higher if I liked juniper in my beer.

Red with an off-white head. The aroma has a lot of juniper and herbal notes, while the flavor is different. I get some chocolate and toffee notes. Very dry. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.
