Bomber bought at Super 1 in CDA, ID; listed as "Odin’t Gift: Amber Ale brewed with juniper berries." Pours a beautiful clear ruby red with a medium beige head with good retention. Weak nose consists of faint caramel, bready malt. Taste starts out sweet but turns bitter mid-palate. The juniper berries are noticeable, but unobtrusive (I would rather they be obtrusive!). Creamy mouthfeel and somewhat soft carbonation. Boring.

This is a great dark amber. Pours perfectly and smells great. Chocolaty malt, and much lighter than I expected. The juniper berries add a nice twist to the finish.

It poured a dark brown color with an off-white head. The aroma was of malts and some toast. The taste was of toast, minor hops and a little bitter. Thanks Hayduke!

Pours amber with an off-white head. The aroma has biscuits, earthy British yeast, some juniper, nuttiness and smooth toast. It has a medium / light body with frothy sharp carbonation. The taste begins with a bit of astringency, toast, red fruits, woodiness (juniper?) and some toast. The finish is earthy, woody and some some fruitiness.

Bottle pour, black walnut colored body, creamy head, fades. Aroma is malt. Taste is malt, wet dog, slight juniper, some hops. Body is ok, moderate carbonation. Nothing special.

Highly rated because better than the typical variety in this style. Very flavorful. Deviates from the style in the juniper berries, which work, and contribute a nice flavor to the beer. Good stuff.

Dark color like concentrated ice tea. Smells like wet coffee grounds. Nice amber flavor but roasted chocolate malt and strong nuttiness.

Dark copper, light brown. Malty caramel aroma. Mostly dry and bitter with a strong malt backbone. Palate has a very drying effect. Body is full throughout. Middle and finish have a nutty flavor, but it finishes super dry...Almost difficult to imagine having a second one. Overall full flavored very dry malty ale.

This was a joint tasting with Strykzone via Facebook Chat. Poured a copper color like ice tea made with 10 tea bags. White head. Nose of moderately roasted chocolate malts and some Noble hops. Medium body. Some, flowers, nuts, and spice in flavor. Juniper is the spice. The juniper is big in the finish.

12 ounce bottle from Hayduke. This is a clear beer that is amber in color. A nice beige rocky head is light and fluffy. I smell berries and malts. The flavor begins with sulfur and bitterness. Then chocolate malts and grass. Soon grass and berries take over with chocolate in the background. This brought some nice surprises.

Dark amber color. Simple aroma, but nice dry caramel flavor.
