ben4321 (562), Rockville, Maryland, USA Jul 1, 2009 Overall Impression: I had literally one sip of this faux-beer once, that was enough for me, call me old fashioned but I like alcohol in my brews...It’s actually not the worst looking or smelling brew out there, but I gotta take points off the overall for the lack of ABV (I know I’m missing the point, but I’m missing it intentionally, so it’s OK.) pkbites (296), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA Jun 23, 2009 Non-alcoholic brews suck. But this is the best I’ve ever had. Malty aroma, nice color, and an amber ale flavor. If you’re more concerned about flavor than buzz factor, I would recommend this over most watered down light beers. Vertical Bacon Strips (581), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada Jun 23, 2009 er.....sucks?
Super light clear amber with big ass bubbs and the slightest of lacing. Smells dusty, slightly sweet and dry...don’t ask what the aromas could be cause there was nothing to notice. Taste is ick. Yuck water. fata2683 (641), APO, New York, USA Jun 21, 2009 bottle, pours light clear amber, thin white head. Aroma is toasted malt, some nutty notes and light honey. Dough and a pumpernickel flavor, ends dry with little bitterness. Fairly flavorful for a NA, but still boring. Gypsy19 (465), Sacramento County, California, USA May 28, 2009 Pours a cream-soda bronze with a small head that fades quickly. Aroma is slightly malty and slightly metallic with a pinch of citrus and honey way in the background. Flavor isn’t too bad; A little caramel and lemon appear, as well as malt. This genuinely is an amber ale sans alcohol. Palate is decent, medium viscosity and carbonation. Really would make an average amber if it was about 5%. Overall, fair. coyotehunter (340), , Michigan, USA Mar 26, 2009 Pours a somewhat darkish amber with a big head. Smell is of caramel and light fruit. Taste is of nothing much other than a glimmer of malt. Ick. beerinmarch (2781), Alabama, USA Mar 1, 2009 Normally I would say, "when a host gives you an Odouls find a new host", but in this case it was either this or boxed wine, and I was going to have to drive home late, so what the hell. Pours darker amber with a medium slightly off-white head. I wasn’t expecting much, but this was actually pretty nice, good caramel flavor up front, lightly worty, a bit thin, but a soft cherry flavor comes out in the finish. I know a lot of the low scores are due to the name and it being a low alcohol, but this really wasn’t all that bad. Far superior to most low alcohol beers I’ve had, well also superior to a lot of beers I’ve had in general. soyorganic (213), Denver, Colorado, USA Jan 21, 2009 Bottle, pours amber color. Dry taste, heavy on the carbonation, but not much by way of flavor. It has a copper, aluminum type taste. It does have a slight malt flavor which is nice, but watered down overall. Nevertheless I thought it was a good attempt for a NA. I would drink if I am DD.
