StoutOrDeath (119), USA May 28, 2004 Maybe I’ve been without the real thing for awhile...but this wasn’t half bad. That is to say, it’s no worse than any REAL macrobrew. AS I’ve said before, it beats going without beer completely. JPDIPSO (4865), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA Apr 8, 2004 Amber colorwith a moderate bubbly dissipating cream colored head. Aroma of stale nut and light caramel, they do seem to do a good job of avoiding the worty aroma. Malt water is all I seem to come up with for this one. To me it tastes like toasted malt was soaked in water to make a malt iced tea. Light sourness late in the swollow. Really not much, but I really did not expect much. zathrus13 (1288), Mount Laurel, New Jersey, USA Mar 11, 2004 Updated: Jun 30, 2005Easily the best NA I’ve had. It tastes better than the low carb beers, Ultra and Aspen Edge. DrnkMcDermott (1832), Downers Grove, Illinois, USA Mar 1, 2004 Bottled: Looks like a beer, pours like a beer... um, there the similarity ends. Fizzy head disappears faster than a 7up, smells like a sweetened Nestea. A halfway decent amber body for the "style," at least, but it tastes like watered-down Malto Goya (a Mexican malt soda). I had a whole six of this I was using for cooking; only when I was down to the last bottle (and I was off beer for Lent) did I consider actually tasting it. ghawener (953), San Salvador, El Salvador Feb 13, 2004 Can: Dark brownish red color, pours decente head and fruity sweet caramel tones come through. I was quite positively surprised by this NA. muzzlehatch (4427), Burlington, Vermont, USA Feb 6, 2004 Not a bad looking glass, medium gold-amber, largish fizzy head. Very faint sweet-corn/dishwater nose. Hint of molasses in the flavor, no hops, very very thin, like drinking watered-down mountain dew with a little caramel thrown in. Not much better than the other O'Douls and I can't believe I've now had them both. Shoot me before I desecrate my body further... Radtrad (2), Manitowoc, Wisconsin, USA does not count Feb 5, 2004 It has a darker orange-brownish color to it that is much more appetizing than some N/As. The flavor is exceptional for N/A beer. This is a good beer for casual drinking. labattblueleaf (225), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA Feb 5, 2004 I find it hysterical a non-alcoholic beer has an overall rating over 1.5. Maybe it's the fact this is an amber that has all you hooligans rating it this high. I'll tell you, I did notice the fairly pronounced caramel flavor in this.
