Nice amber red color, small head with only a faint attempt to last.Nice malty aroma with the taste being malty ,mildly sweet with a mild hoppiness and slight corniness as well.mostly this isn't that bad and IMOpretty decent i still can't give up my alcohol but if i did i think this is where i would go for a good all around beer taste with out the hassle of a buzz.

UPDATED: JUN 3, 2005 Head is initially small, fizzy, off-white, mostly diminishing. Body is clear medium amber. Aroma is lightly malty (cereal, caramel), trace hops (herbs). Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly bitter, slightly unclean. Light to medium body, watery texture, fizzy carbonation. Amber colored NAs always smell like cereal or dog food, and this is no exception. Disturbing.

Lifeless pour, head disappeared in a microsecond. Aroma - akin to a dirty dish rag No real amber quality to this at all - looked more like dark apple juice. Bit of a malty - caramel flavor to it - but it sure does miss the alcohol - similar to fat free food - fat = taste just as much as alcohol = taste. Thirst-quenching though on a hot day - so it is good for something.

For a domestic NA, this isn't too bad. Better than all the other domstic crap that is out there. Eons ahead of any other American NA Swill.
NA's do have a purpose, such as working in the yard, or after having so many good beers, you can't afford to be falling down drunk, so you need something that at least comes close to tasting like beer.
So for an American version of NA, this is the one to get. At least it has some real beer flavor, though a tad watery and in need of more a bit more hops and carbonation.

Good looking amber beer with very little aroma. Feels like an alcohol-free beer. And tastes like an alcohol-free beer. Although this is an amber there is no real taste difference between this and regular O'Ds and no real taste. Not something I need to drink twice.

Not half-bad, decent NA with added "caramel malts". Pound a case and you might get a buzz...

Again I have to rate this as though its in its own category which is N/A, but it does actually compare with
with some premium "alcoholic" beers. If you haven't taken your turn at being a designated driver and drank more than one just to say you tried it then lighten up. I agree that the European non's are a step ahead but most small town bars don't carry import beers let alone import N/A.

Well at least they tried to suit another style... it’s NA beer, how high did you think I’d rate it. Maybe if my liver goes, and some of the better NA’s are gone, I’ll try this again...

Well, son-of-a-gun...this stuff looks like beer, smells like beer and hold onto your hats, TASTES like beer! Well, it tastes like a light beer anyway. This is the first A-B product I’ve bought in decades. I’m still in the midst of a study where I can’t ingest any alcohol so I’ve been trying the various NAs that are available. I chose O’Douls Amber mainly for the price and because it was easy to reach in the cooler at the store. I haven’t looked at other people’s ratings yet so hopefully I won’t be repeating stuff that others have said. Anyhoo, this (near)beer pours a nice-looking coppery color and comes up with a decent head that lasts for about 30 seconds but then subsides to a thin, fizzy film. Whee, lookit all those bubbles heading up to the top of the glass! The aroma is fairly neutral though it smells ’beerier’ than some other NAs. Taste? Well, nothing in particular stands out but there’s not any unpleasantness either. It tastes for all the world like a regular light beer. Quite effervescent & actually somewhat refreshing. Surprisingly not bad for what it is...ADDENDUM after reading other ratings: Funny thing, I was going to say that I thought O’Douls may be the best brew available from A-B, but figured most readers would think I’m nuts. But I see others have said the same thing!
