SubstanceT (1090), Saint Louis, Missouri, USA Jul 4, 2004 Wow, I dont get it. This was pretty bad. Right off when we had this it was nice and cold and almost drinkable. but after about 10 seconds or so it developed this strange sweetness to it. Undrinkable. it was just terrible. I can not imagine anything worse than this. SDbruboy (1832), San Diego, California, USA Jun 25, 2004 Had this one as a last resort at a professional conference cocktail reception in Miami’s beer wasteland. Poured clear amber yellow with a small white head that diminished rapidly. Aroma is insignificant - hints of malts and a hop (or two at the most). Flavor is mildly adjunct sweet, definitely light and drinkable in a non-threatening kind of way. Light body and fizzy carbonation. civforprez (225), Galesburg, Illinois, USA Jun 7, 2004 My grandparents drink this with dinner every night. It’s a pale beer with little head. Smells and tastes like nothing, but I’d still take it over anything Coors makes. shrubber85 (2833), Wallhalben, Germany Jun 5, 2004 Updated: Apr 12, 2008If I were Irish, I’d sue A-B for defamation of character. Sweet cornflake aroma. Pale yellow minimal head. Almost cloyingly sweet cornflake flavor that fails to deliver any beer flavor. Cut out the middleman and dump this straight in the toilet. VTHopHead (895), Barre, Vermont, USA May 31, 2004 Bottle - Golden yellow in color with a very thin, short lived white head. Some hops in the aroma, but definitle skunky too. Little malt in flavor or aroma. Very watery. Unappealing flavor and aftertaste. Not very good. darkerdabetter (255), Michigan, USA May 31, 2004 It’s bad, although it was cool when you were eighteen and had one at a fancy restaurant. From across the room it looked like a real beer, but it sure ain’t good. Doesn’t really taste like anything at all. Crockett (904), Steelback County, Ontario, Canada May 27, 2004 Considering that you can buy this shit at the corner store, I’m not going to get too excited. I think that it’s funny that an infant with $1.39 could legally purchase O’Douls. Flat gingerale pour. The hop aroma is harsh and skunky. Foul and unholy. Bubbly bottled water and the smidgenest of maltose. Stinky roasted after taste. BrockLanders (747), Panama City, Florida, USA May 12, 2004 Yes, I know it’s NA, but does that mean it needs to be devoid of flavor as well? I tried a can that my father-in-law had stashed in the fridge. The color is more yellow than golden. No genuine aroma or taste. Heck, my burp smelled better. I should probably shy away from rating beers like this due to my strong preference for barley wines and imperial stouts and IPAs.
