The brewers werent content with the first batch of Gaia. Batch 2.0 was made since 21/03/2014 (bottle date) and revamped with extra hop. This is the way the brewers intended the beer.

Hazy amber with fluffy white head. Lots of aroma hops with pine, flowers, mango, tangerine and grapefruit. Roasted malty with light herbal and yeast. Tart fruity with long bitter middle and finish and light underlying sweetness. Prickly carbonation. Nice balanced IPA and very drinkable.

Troebel oranjebruin, plakkerige kraag die lang blijft. Aroma is mout, vaag fruitig, romig. Smaakt hoppig, vlak en heeft een voor mij onaangename combinatie van moutig hoppige nasmaak. Het ziet er goed uit maar ik vind ’m niet lekker.

Aroma of malt, tropical fruits, some pine, sweet orange. Flavour is hoppy and malty caramel sweetness, more sweet orange, with a medium bitter finish. Very tasty.

Bottle at Fergus’ tasting on 26 July. Poured a hazy orange, with a dense white head. Aroma of zesty fruit, esters and sweet orange. Hoppy citrus flavours, with some brown sugar sweetness to balance. Finish was chewy malt, yeast and marzipan.

On tap at the 2014 Oregon Brewers Fest. Colour...hazy, dark gold with a thick white head. Nose...stone fruits and tropical fruits with so e sweet spice mingled in. Palate....plush, velveteen and delightfully fruity with quince, mango and crushed pineapple. Mid palate is sweet, yet tangy and the finish is lengthy and sweet.

Cloudy orange, white creamy head. Aroma and taste are nicely hoppy with citrus fruits, a little strawberry, sweet malts (honey, caramel) and not too bitter. Refreshing, mouthfeel’s a bit oily, medium carbonation.

Bottle at the Watford tasting 26/07/14. Thanks to Leighton. Translucent orange with a lively off white head. Aroma is wheat floral with light honey, slightly stale. Flavour is light wheat, orange, floral. Palate is dry and grainy. Lingering earthy solid bitterness. Highish carbonation. Nice stuff.

Bottle shared in Watford. Pours hazy gold with a creamy, off-white head. The nose has bread, orange meringue, tangerine. Light-medium sweet flavor with slight pine needles, low bitterness, some further tangerine. Light bodied with average carbonation. Decent balance to finish, some bready malts, further citrus meringue, pine needles. Nothing special but perfectly drinkable.
