Gaia is our interpretation of a West-Coast I.P.A. An amber colored beer with the focus on resiny, piney hop varieties (Cascade, Columbus, Chinook, Centennial and a bit of Amarillo).

Slight/medium aroma of malts, caramel, yeast, orange, pine, hops and citrus.

Turbid/opaque golden/amber beer with heavy yeast and with a medium off-white head.

Starts medium sweet with malts, caramel, yeast, orange and pine; ends slightly bitter and dry with hops and citrus.

This beer is rather intense, complex and balanced. The aroma is almost nonexistent and the yeast is slightly too dominant.

Bottle, #h-J16, 25/06/2016, thanks bluus. Smells of caramel, conifer, some tropical fruits, mango. Taste is dry with conifer, caramel, slight tropical fruitiness. Pleasant enough.

Aroma is decent and a bit soapy. Hop bitterness is there, but I miss the floral aroma experience. Malt body is medium to full, which is good, but overall it’s a bit far from what I call an IPA. Too sweet floral for a British IPA but not enough for an US-style IPA. A so so beer.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a hazy copper to orange with a medium white head and an aroma of citrus, grapefruit, flowery hops, pine, toffee, fresh fruits and sweet malts. The taste is light to medium sweet with lots of hoppy bitterness. A really nice beer!
