On tap @ Beer Temple (still the first batch brewed @ De Molen). Barman/Oedipus brewer Sander told me it was brewed with Sorachi Ace hops, lemongrass, szechuan pepper and other spices. Murky red-brown color. Uneven off-white head. Aroma’s: spices and herbs, anise, caramel, lightly acidic, medium bitter. Flavor is herbal spicy, lightly acidic, medium bitter. Body is medium. Finishes herbal spicy, dry, bitter. Some moderation on the spice side would be good.

0.1 l on tap at ’Craft & Draft’. Clear, golden yellow with a medium large, white head. Fruity, slightly herbal, yeasty-spicy aroma of lemon peel, peach, ginger, clove and straw. Slightly sourish, slightly bitter, yeasty-spicy taste of lemon peel, ginger, peppermint, clove and straw, followed by a short, slightly tart, dry-bitter finish. Thin to medium body, spritzy and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, flat carbonation. Nice!

(bottle) hazy golden colour with a frothy off-white head. aroma of powdered sugar and heavy lime, slightly chalky, with a hint of yeast, some black pepper and physalis. flavour is mostly caramel, ethanol and yeast, rather starchy, with some light notes of herbal hops and a rather dry medium-bitter finish. medium- to heavy-bodied with fizzy carbonation.

De naam sprak me in eerste instantie tegen maar toch geprobeerd. Viel me niks tegen alsnog. Mooi bitter en fruitig biertje.

Towering, dense & stable yellowish ehad over well-carbonated clear darker golden beer. Sweetish-spicy nose, hervs and garden weeds. Yeast determined. Spicy-peppery flavour, bit of grains and hints at barnyard aromas. Rather bitter, but still (pale)maltsweetness underneath. Rather sharpish MF, well-carbonated, and a long bitterish-burning aftertaste. Medium bodied at best. Well-balanced in the spices/herbs. Must admit I like it! ;p

Hazy golden colour with a very nice white head. Smells of flowers and freshly cut grass, lemon and funky saison yeast. Tastes like flowers, if you can imagine that, as well as lemon, herbal bitterness, some spiciness and some honey. Very nice mouthfeel, due to the low body and medium-high carbonation, bitter-sweet and refreshing aftertaste.

Sampled at The Festival 2015 in St. Petes with Vinny. Pours a clear golden body with big white head/lacing. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with notes of Belgian spice, fresh bright yeast character, somewhat herbal, fresh biscuit and pale malt. Decent saison.
