At Borefts. Stout with thick, creamy, yellowish beige head and very dark, not to say ink black colour. Aroma of hazelnut, chocolate sauce, black pepper, liquorice; sweetish taste with light umami accent, full and creamy mouthfeel, deep caramelly and chocolatey maltiness, light peppery hops in the finish with some roasted bitterness. Elegant and very tasty stout.

Bottle. Beermoth, Manchester. Clear, very dark brown. Film of tight, tan head. Aroma has wet leather. Charred wood. Brazil nuts. Some vine fruits. Taste is woody bitter, and charred wood, ashy dry. Lots of carbonation gives the beer a thin mouthfeel. Finishes light dry. Some sweet, chocolatey relief on the close.

---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
