A 4% abv Gose style beer, brewed with grapefruit zest, lime zest, and sea salt. Dry hopped with citra and amarillo hops. It’s extremely refreshing, citric, slightly sour with a nice salty bite. Check it out at your local waterhole. A little bit about the style: Gose is an old German brew that originated in Leipzig, its a light abv beer that is slightly acidic and salty. We are one of the first Dutch brewers to revive the style. Some of you might recognize the name, we brewed this beer last year for the launch of our friends of Dick Moby. Last year it was only a 50liter batch, now its bigger and here to stay! Batch#1: Gose inspired wheat beer sour mash, with salt, lime and grapefruit peel. Dryhopped with Mandarina Bavaria and Amarillo

A really good gose. Unlike most, the salty funk isn’t dominated by some sweet fruit, but lightly accented by some citrusy hops. Really well done.

Bottle (bought from Bierkoning Amsterdam and enjoyed in the hotelroom). Orange hazy colour with a small white head. Aroma is fruity, yeasty, caramelly and some mild toffeeish notes. Flavour is fruity, toffeeish, some floral notes, mild sourness as well as some salty and herbal notes too.

Dutch Gose with an American twist. Creamy, thick, lightly lacing, light yellowish white head over a cloudy ochre blonde beer. Aroma of orange-flavoured cough medicin, mandarin peel, coriander seed, green olives, pineapple yoghurt, sour cream, unripe mango. Taste starts fruity, vividly estery, pineapple, starfruit, hint of melon, soft mouthfeel with fluffy wheat effect; drying lactic acidity but not too harsh, persisting till deep in the finish, seaweed umami accent, some coriander, dry and extremely thirst-quenching finish. Original interpretation of a Gose.

33 cl bottle @ hotel room, Amsterdam. Bottled 03/2015. Aroma has orange, grapefruity hops and fruit juice. Flavour is really tart and aggressive on grapefruit. Also mild bretta tones, sour cream and green apples. Unexpected.

Bottle 0,33ltr: Hazy blonde colored brew with an slightly tangy taste, lot of hints grapefruits and green limes. But this beer have some "Mexican drink"over it.

Aroma of grapefruit, sea salt, cirus and some odd hot spices. I didn’t enjoy this at all cause it tastes exactly like it’s name...

Aroma is very citrusy and hoppy. Can really feel the dry hopping from the citrus based hops together with the zest from grapefruit and lime. Pours pale orange with a medium white head. Taste is both bitter and you can get some salt from the taste. Notable early hopping to the boil. Palate is a bit oily and sticks to the tounge. Overall a nice, easy and enjoyable beer. Perfect for a calm night.

Sampled draft @ “Kaapse Brouwers 1st Anniversary Beer Festival”. That name……. Hazy orange, little white head. Nose is heavily mineral, lightly lactic, tad musty with an oddly almost sugary base, mineral quality dominates, lots of salt I suppose. Taste is big on lime, some sugar, light lactic quality which translate in a lemonade-like quality, lightly mineral & quite a bit of salt in the back, tad grapefruit,… Milky, lactic body. Simple but delivers upon its promise (by that I mean the salt & not the dick). Neat.

Tap at Kaapse festival. Tortilla chips, cornflakes, lemon, seawater, lime. Medium sour and light salty. Light to medium bodied. Not sure about the tortilla chips that are quite present in the finish here, doesn’t really work for me.
