2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 Slayer85 (977) - Firenze, ITALY - NOV 6, 2006
UPDATED: SEP 4, 2007 Gold colur, very fizzy. The head disappears quickly. The aroma is simple with malt, corn and little herbal. The taste is malty with light bitterness, but if it isn’t perfectly balnced nor is totally bad. the body is medium for an export, but on the thin side. Average beer, better than expected to be a supermarket beer.
2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Panzerfaust (539) - Hanga Roa, Easter Island, CHILE - OCT 19, 2006
Pours a clear golden color. Head is white, medium and fluffy. It diminishes quickly into an ugly lacing.
Aroma is malty with some yeast and very little hops. There are notes of corn syrup, peaches, some vegetables and herbs. Hints of leather and maybe fresh carrots. Weird.
Flavor is not that bad with a lot of cereal, malty character. Sweet with almost no bitterness at all. Very slight fruity traces too.
Medium body, strong for a Helles. Light carbonation. A decent malty warm finish. Alcohol noticeable and thick texture. Weird palate, but not bad. Far better than most pale lagers but not an outstanding Helles.

Bottle 0.5l. OK beer, but nothing special, less skunky then their pils, this one is a bit dusty and malty(some). Hoppy german helles with some malt again in the taste. Drinkable and somewhat boozy, finishes better and fruity.
