The elephant in the room is the fake essence of fake banana milkshake. Really the last flavour I’m looking for in a good beer, so if you’re gonna put banana flavour in there, at least make it taste like real bananas. Apart from that, this beer could have had some potential but it is saved from being an abject failure by having some good bitterness in the finish.

Can. Light golden, small to average and mostly diminishing head. Light to moderate, malty - lightly grainy and lightly sweetish aroma, light cardboard and faint hoppyness. Body is light to medium, malty - lightly grainy and lightly sweetish flavor, light cardboard and metal, faint hoppyness. Finish is short to average, malty and dryish - lightly sweetish, light cardmoard and metal, faint hoppyness. Helles with sharp metal. Tastes cheap

500 ml bottle. Clear golden color with white head that stays and lots of carbonation. Grass smell with wheat and leafs. Nice sweet malty taste with a good after sensation. Brilliant beer for it’s price!

Chilled and into its own willi-becher. Looks the picture of good health. Lasting and persistently fuelled two inch plume of white atop a brilliant deep gold body. Plenty of lace at work here too. Slightly vegetal, salted pretzel and grainy, cereal malts on the nose. Sweet, juicy malt up front; grainy with a breakfast cereal edge. Low peppery hop back end, by no means Noble, but pleasant with subdued bitterness and crispness on the finish. Little linger of malt and hop. Light bodied and not too sweet. Clean as a whistle and alarmingly easy too quaff. Got to go against the grain and say that this is a decent Dortmunder-style Export. Refreshing!! (33cL can, BB 19/07/15, The Liquor Shed, Jandakot)

Yellow clear, white foam. Dry malt and hay in the aroma. Sweet malt, with a hint of hay bitterness in the aftertaste. High in carbon.
