2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 13/20
Slightly hazy yellow in colour with a thickish white head and lots of fine carbonation bubbles.
As for smell, there isn’t much of one. Some grain but little else. Same for flavour, some grain, a bit of carbonation tingle, but little else. But what do you expect from a dortmunder? It is well within style and a good summer quaffer.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle. Pours clear light golden with airy white head. Clear Roma of yeast, hops and skunk. Bitter, hoppy flavour, with way too much yeast, giving rather disturbing sweetish touches. Cardboardlike and bitter finish. High carbonation. Drinkable but nothing special.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
The only presentation of this beer I’ve found is the Export one. German beers have the same recipe it seems. This one has a very malty-hops smell, very intense. Its taste is very familiar, German beers have the same basics, a bit heavy and bitter at the end. It’s color is deep blond, almost amber (my favourite color in lagers).

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Can from Yamaya. Malty, rich nose, bread and biscuits and some over-ripe fruits and vegetables on their way off. Golden color, clear. Malty, fruity flavor; slightly phenolic and boozy. A bit of some kind of thinner or something. Pretty bad stuff. Probably not worth finishing this one. Japanese happoshu with only 25% malt is better than this crap.

2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Can. This was actually just as good as the other two Oettingers I tried. Not saying much, but it wasn’t foul. Fruity, bready aromas. Gassy with a fine watery body. Alcohol up-front. Metallic-sweet finish really killed it. But drinkable all the same.
