Pours a dark golden color with almost no head. Tasty malt aroma. Not too much flavor. Tastes like malt flavored water with some hops sprinkled in. Very timid.

Like I’ve noticed before, german mild’s (or gold’s, like they are here called) are more like the most popular lagers world wide. It’s not necessarily mild, it just doesn’t have the bitter bite of german pils. That’s also the case here, it’s not the tastiest of all lagers, but it still packs quite a lot. This ones on the sweet side, and it starts right from the nose. Medium carbonation and actually quite a full mouth feel. Like all oettingers, the head is almost non existent.

Light yellow with a decent head, slightly malty, and sweet. Very easy drinking, but not anything good on the taste front, very watery, boring.

A yellow beer with a disappearing white head. The aroma is malty combined with notes of caramel, while the flavor is a very clean sweet malty one.

(Bottle 33 cl) Pours a pale pilsener golden with a creamy, white head leaving some laces. Fresh, lightly hoppy aroma. Medium body with some sweetish malt. Lightly sulphurous but lacking any real bitterness. 170406

Bottle. Golden colour with a white head. Malty, straw aroma and a sweet malty, straw taste. Medium body with a sweet finish.

A bit soapy, flowery aroma and flavor. Malty, but lacks character. Just bland and boring, in fact.

(bottle) Pale golden colour with a diminishing frothy white medium head. Skunky nose with sweetish corny malts. Medium sweet flavour, pleasant carbonation but a very bland and weak malty “taste” with only a whiff of hops. Never again.

MiP (13990) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - SEP 21, 2005
Bottle. Soapy, sourish aroma, hint of hops. Yellow colour, semi-stable white head. Bland, tasteless lager. I like Oettinger better than most people, but this one is boring.
