3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
A Sim rate (can -oh yes- from Auchan in Italy): Aroma of bananas and honey, usual hefeweizen stuff. Slight metal. Flavour is a bit better with a tinge of vanilla and cream mixed in. not bad, but nothing outstanding either.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottled. Faint haze with towering pocked foam. Big, ripe, fruity nose humming of banana, lemon, tropical fruit and unmalted barley. Just a sniff of fusty sourness as you drain the vase. Hints of woodsmoke, wisps of sediment. Firm fruitiness with an appetising dryness in the finish. Rounded, refreshing Hefe.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
can, first canned hefeweizen tasted. pours very strong and surprisingly big head, off-white, very thik and firm, not as cloudy as weizens I am used to. aroma is grain, some grapefruit and yeast of course(cery strong)., flavour is poor, watery, thin,....just ok but I won’t buy it again

2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
in can 500 ml.,
Pale color, straw and mud. The head is quite frothy and white. In the nose one perceives the yeast, and something the fruits (that I cannot identify it). The body is too smooth, and little dense, (to be a weizen). A regular beer.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: MAR 4, 2009 I bought this price at a very reasonable price. I wasn’ t expecting much although I’ve always liked Oettinger’s beers. They sell good beers at very low prices... And I like the company’ s image too. But I was certainly quite surprised when I sampled their Hefeweizen.
Canned. Anyway, the beer pours a beautiful hazy orange, quite high carbonation, big white head. Quite spicy aromas, banana, pineapple, very yeasty. Strong corn elments in the flavour, fairly sweet, pineapple again, spicy, some almonds? Medium-bodied. Very nice mouthfeel. Extremly refreshing. Definately a Hefeweizen I really enjoyed.

1.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Aroma: aromatic vanilla, acidity of lemon and reminiscence of the banana.
Flavor: to dried fruits, citric-fruit touch ultimately, lowers dryness.; fresh flavor.
Palate: low - medium body, watery texture.

2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Can. Pours beautifully. Dark hazy amber. Big fat off white head with lacing. Doughy, yeasty smell. Citrusy with hints of bannana. Some bitterness and sourness, as well. However, whereas this might be a great beer if it was assertive and had a real backbone, it is essentially weak and watery. Not a bad cheap beer for a hot summer day, though.

1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Hazy yellow of color with an offwhite head. Very light aroma with hints of wheat and yeast. Thin in taste, hints of wheat. Pretty boring weizen!

1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Bottle. Yellow, clear with huge white head. It has no typical hefe aroma, reminds more of an international lager with this corn-like nose. Some vanilla notes in flavour, beside that very watery, boring and not very good. Very low carbonation for the style.
