Can. Cloudy orange, thin head. Medium to thin body with fine carbonation. Not a huge nose, but some banana, spice, and candy. Almost too sweet. Fruit flavours also seemed a little artificial. Yamaya are promoting the heck out of these beers at the mo, but there’s very little to get excited about here.

Well, it wasn’t without merit this one. Hazy yellow-orange in colour with a voluminous head of white. Aromas so typical of German wheat beers with spicy cloves, bubblegum and banana all evident in the flavour as well. A tasty wee drop this one and hopefully the first of many.

0.5l bottle. A bit hazy orange body, white head. Aroma of hay, banana and some cheese. Taste is banana, pear and cheese. A bit weak body. Not bad, but I’ve tasted better weizens.

Looks pretty good; hazy and golden with a decently frothy white head that leaves some lacing. The aromas and flavors were pretty weak with just hints of spices, yeast and banana. Mouthfeel was a bit thin but overall I’d say this was an average Hefe.

UPDATED: JUL 27, 2013 Bottle, with a Russian label!!! OK, it os not as bad as they paint it. Reasonable aroma, heavy on the cloves. The appearance is not as golden as a typical HW from a reputable Kloster, but a bit darker (red), looking more like the result of a bladder infection. The flavour is ok, with the bananas, chewing gum, vanila and cloves, except for a rather undescribable foul touch, which makes it a bit harder to gulp down. It could be better, but not as crappy as their marketing professionals claim it to be.

Light misty golden body with small grey head. Not the best looking Hefe. Vegetable, sweet lemon cakes, simple malts. Simplistic taste too. Yeast is totally underperforming. What is this supposed to be? (50cl bottle from Rewe supermarket)

50cl bottle from Tengelmann in Munich. Pours a cloudy orange colored body with a finger-width, creamy and frothy, white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing. Aroma is thin wheats with some banana and bubble gum, a touch of clove and yeast spice, and a noticeable DMS. Flavor is better. Clean wheats with a touch of caramel sweetness, some bubble gum, banana, clove, and a light yeast. Finishes fairly clean before leaving a medium length aftertaste. Lighter body and a somewhat active carbonation. Overall, an okay hefe. A bit on the thin side and some DMS on the nose, but not bad.

Can from Yamaya. Light banana and some spice. Cloudy honeyish-amber, quickly dissipating head. Light fruity initial: banana chips and pear / flavors become muted in mid and fade out like a little piece of candy. Thin body. Tolerable. A bit too light bodied and overall uninteresting.
