Looks pretty good; hazy and golden with a decently frothy white head that leaves some lacing. The aromas and flavors were pretty weak with just hints of spices, yeast and banana. Mouthfeel was a bit thin but overall I’d say this was an average Hefe.

Can from a friend. The smell has wheat and malts and is fresh and light. Pours clear orange with a rich white head. Taste has alcohol, despite the low ABV, wheat and citrus. Palate is good for this type of beer, pretty full. The beer is not really exciting and not nearly as good as other weissbiers.

Tasted as Oettinger Hefeweissbier Naturtrüb. Western German Hefeweizen with ochre yellow, hazy robe and restrained fruitiness, in fact too restrained for the style, dryish, yeasty, even a bit metallic. Has a lot to learn from the real Bavarian thing.

Can. Dark golden/orange color, white and creamy head. Light to medium body, a bit watery. Light bitterness, almost no sweetness, acidic aftertaste. Hmm, nothing special. Soulless beer.

Bamberg jolly day 3 26/01/2014. Bottle shared on the train. Bright orange coloured pour with a thin off white head. Aroma is stale malts, oranges and spicy clove phenols. Flavour is doughy bready malts, some tart acid and clove. Milky palate with a tart finish.
