Optisch ist die Flasche natuerlich eine Zumutung, dafuer haelt das Bier, was es verspricht. Leicht in der Hefe, leicht in der rFruchrt. Duenn, hefebetont, aber immerhin trinkbar. Ganz ok.

Light milky yellow-golden colour with low head and crisp body. Nose of light yeast. Taste of very light yeast, cereals and grass. Light bitter and strong metallic finish. Okay but not nice and easy to drink.

bottle. Cloudy yellow, large white head. Wheaty, yeasty, slightly sour and bready. I liked the alcohol free version much better.

Bierkrug (1919) - Idar-Oberstein (In Iraq), Rhineland-Palatinate, GERMANY - FEB 2, 2012
500 ml bottle picked up in Idar-Oberstein, Germany. Pours a weak yellow color with a soft white head. Aroma was good compared the the taste. Cloves, bread and stones. Taste is cardboard, hefe, and light sour banana mash. Palate is dry. A low quality beer made even worse by thining it out.

Single bottle purchased from a Tengelmans Grocery Store in Bertchesgaden, Germany on 11/21/2011. Colour: The wheat is still present enough to cloud the beer and the colour is a grayish dark yellow. Nose: Soggy cereal. An earthy/chesse mix for the yeast. A waft of dandilion. Taste: Light sweet, light bitter, light sour. Like the Hefewiezen, but lighter as the name says. Less grain presence but still some vanilla trace. Also a shadow of nuttiness on the finish. Drinkable.

(bottle) pours a hazy golden-yellow colour with a frothy white head. aroma of yeast, caramel, bananas and sweetcorn, slightly buttery. flavour is mostly the same, slightly sweaty and musty, with a hint of caramel and popcorn in the finish. light-bodied with fizzy carbonation.

Koelschtrinker (8473) - Köln (Cologne), GERMANY - JUN 10, 2011
Extrem lasches Bier, aber ohne penetrante Aromen, was mich aufgrund der Erfahrung anderer Oettinger Biere etwas überrascht. Lascher, minimal hefiger Antrunk, ebenso leichter getreidiger Mittelteil. Wässriger Nachgeschmack. Trinkbar, wie gesagt, aber ich bevorzuge dann doch pures Wasser. Test vom 9.8.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 9,4,6,2,2,3 - 4,00
