Tastes more trashy lager than Deutsch pils. Looks mostly lifeless, with only a few bubbles supporting a very short lived head. Pathetic aroma with some metal and a touch of grain. A touch of raw bitterness and sugar sweetness, but it doesn’t last very long thankfully. Very disappointing, but not surprising given how cheap it was even in this country!!

Classica Pils quasi inodore e insapore. Dalla sua ha una gradazione bassina e a tavola é discreta se si ha sete.

Bottle from the station shop at Venlo, consumed on the 16.05 train to Ham, 27/04/13. Clear mid golden with a good sized white head, aggressive carbonation visible. Nose is pale malts, cereals, grain, corn ... dull ! Taste comprises pale malts, light caramel, grain, cereals, touch of sugar. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation, not as gassy as it looks. Boring pils.

Draught. Yellow golden. White bready malts, a slight touch of hops, but not much. Body light. Dry. Pretty normal pale massproduced lager. Not bad, but doesn’t stand out really either.

50cl. Pours clear yellow with a nice white, big head. Aroma is malty, hoppy. Flavour is mild sweet with a decent bitter finish. Considering price, a decent beer

Aroma Non really to speak of Appearance Clear light golden amber colour Taste light sweetness, lightly bitter, Palate light body, thin feel, lively, with an after taste i cant put my finger on. Overall This is a beer that for the price is well placed in the Australian market as an everyday thirst quencher. I am at a loss as to how a beer that is brewed and bottled on the other side of the world sells for about $30 a case compared to my local Brewery (Boags) which is now nudginging $50??

This stuff is so cheap to make that it’s cheaper than the local swill by the time it crosses the Atlantic in its presumably refrigerated containers. Visiting friends from Germany saw it and said, "Oh in Germany this is homeless person bier!" And then after trying the local stuff they switched to Oettinger. It has a firm but simple bitterness from hop extract. It’s water, the cheapest pils malt, and hop extract. Little else. A simple beer, only for drinking. Thank you, Reinheitsbegot.

Kita (422) - Koper, SLOVENIA - FEB 18, 2013
Canned, 0.50l. Clear pale golden color with average frothy white head, almost no lacing and lively bubbles. Aroma of malt, grassy hops, wine marc and cooked vegetables when getting warmer. Taste is average sweet malty with plain mouthfeel and relatively bitter finish. Light body, thin texture and lively carbonation in palate. Poor, no need to say more...

Bottle of 330 ml.. Golden yellow colour, with some bubbles rising to the surface and a two finger soapy head that quickly dissolves, leaving some light lacing on the glass. Aroma is the usual for pilsener malts, with some traces of corn too. Taste is bitter and also a bit corny. Quite metallic too, as if it was coming from a can. Medium thickness on the body, and less than average carbonation

Bottle. Pours clear pale straw with airy white head. Clear aroma of hop with some grassy notes. Very watery mouthfeel. Bitter taste of hops and not much else. Suspicious dry finish resembling burning plastic. Not good.

Yeppers, another bad beer bought at the Lidl. Weird aftertaste but mostly malty.
