Bottle. Reddish, dark brown colour with a little head. Aroma of chocolate and little roastedness. Flavour of malt, chocolate and little roastedness.

Clear dark deep red-brown colour with a medium fairly lasting beige creamish head. The aroma is sweet with roasted malt and caramel, bit of smoke. Rather thin mouthfeel. The flavour is sweet with roasted malt caramel, some smoke, bitter hops and some grains.

50 cL bottle. Pours dark brown with a redish hue and a dense light tan head. Dense roasted malt and light sweet caramel note in the aroma. Breadish and roasted malt flavour. Light acidity and a smooth chocolate note. Nice bitter and light acidic roasted flavour into the finish. Continues with a smooth yet bitter chocolate driven far finish.

Jet black colour with a dark creamy head. Roasted aroma is similar to that of a stout. Some stout characteristics in the flavour too with some roasted malts coming through. The watery thin texture really doesn’t marry with a beer which could be quite rich. This would also benefot from a higher alcohol content. However it’s a good, tasty beer overall.

Bottle. Heavy malty, a little bit of milk chocolate and caramel. Fizzy and foamy brown head, mostly diminishing, black body. Moderate sweet finish, the start was more bitter, medium duration. Light body, oily texture and soft carbonation. A surprisingly good Schwarzbier, rather sweet one.

Almost black colored, big beige head. Sweet and caramelly, only slightly chocolaty aroma. Mild bitter hops also there. Thin to medium bodied. Flavor starts with chocolate and mild nuts, turns to sweet and roasted, but still not very rich flavored. Aftertaste is somehow watery, mild lemon and caramel there.

Bottle. Dark amber color, brownish head. Quite malty aroma, roasted toffee notes, burnt sugar. Roasted malt flavor, quite thin, some chocolate notes. Thin malty finish.

[bottle] Sourish, musty, coffee aroma, with a touch of noble hops. Almost opaque black, with some garnet at the edges. Tan foam quickly drops to a ring and wisps. The flavour began a bit sour--to the point that I checked the best by date (I bought this yesterday in Marburg, Germany and the best by date is in May). Sour, almost acrid flavour with dark malt burnt that clears to an almost pleasant, biscuity vanilla. Notes of celery that seems to mingle interestingly with the moderate bitterness. Medium body, moderate carbonation, clean finish.
