500ml bottle: poured very dark brown with some red highlights. Smallish tan head. Light roasted malt aroma and slightly nutty. Flavor is also slightly nutty with a touch of cherry. Light roastiness. Decent body. I liked it.

Light roasted chocolaty aroma. Dark brown, failing head. Watery, sugary, minerally, slightly skunky. How can you consistently fail to brew a good beer like that?

Bottle: Almost black with a big, fluffy off-white head, ,quickly diminishing to a small foamy layer; shy malty nose (with an illusion of molasses and roasted malts), sweetish, but mainly dry malty bitter flavour; mild, a bit bitter and a bit fruity finish. Neither unpleasant, nor tasty.......................

Light nose - undetectable, deep dark brown color with a red tinge, frothy creamy head. Chocolate and nutty character. Missing the roasted qualities you want. Thin and watery with an oily mouthfeel. Hey, Oettinger CAN make an above average beer.

Nice nearly black color with a light brown frothy head on top that lasts medium long. Medium clay nose - not much going on here. Light milkchocolate taste, like Hershey’s and NO - that is not a compliment. Flat body - pretty boring.

(Bottle 50 cl) Oettinger seems to brew each and every German style you can possibly think of, so of course there also had to be a Schwarzbier. Almost pitch black, but not completely opaque. Tall and handsome beige head that leaves a lacework. Very aromatic with notes of licorice and not quite as dry as the typical Schwarzes. Actually this is surprisingly soft and a positive surprise from Oettinger. 050200

50 cl. bottle. Small head with not too good retention. Aroma of roasted malt and wet iron. Flavor lacks maltiness and is mostly roasted and bitter.

Bottle. Faint, roasted aroma. Dark brown colour with a small light brown head. The flavour is nice, very chocolaty, with a hint of acidity in the aftertaste.

dark brown beer with a good biege head. aroma: malt, fresh hops. taste: caramel, butterscotch( buttertaste?), maltsweetness, hopesters. palate: medium with good (fizzy) carbonation. finish is a bit short and a bit sweet. not bad at all!
