3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Jet black colour with a dark creamy head. Roasted aroma is similar to that of a stout. Some stout characteristics in the flavour too with some roasted malts coming through. The watery thin texture really doesn’t marry with a beer which could be quite rich. This would also benefot from a higher alcohol content. However it’s a good, tasty beer overall.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Heavy malty, a little bit of milk chocolate and caramel. Fizzy and foamy brown head, mostly diminishing, black body. Moderate sweet finish, the start was more bitter, medium duration. Light body, oily texture and soft carbonation. A surprisingly good Schwarzbier, rather sweet one.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Almost black colored, big beige head. Sweet and caramelly, only slightly chocolaty aroma. Mild bitter hops also there. Thin to medium bodied. Flavor starts with chocolate and mild nuts, turns to sweet and roasted, but still not very rich flavored. Aftertaste is somehow watery, mild lemon and caramel there.

2.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Sourish, musty, coffee aroma, with a touch of noble hops. Almost opaque black, with some garnet at the edges. Tan foam quickly drops to a ring and wisps. The flavour began a bit sour--to the point that I checked the best by date (I bought this yesterday in Marburg, Germany and the best by date is in May). Sour, almost acrid flavour with dark malt burnt that clears to an almost pleasant, biscuity vanilla. Notes of celery that seems to mingle interestingly with the moderate bitterness. Medium body, moderate carbonation, clean finish.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Dark brown colour with a medium foamy brown head. Shy nose of toasted malts. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted bread, caramel, and straw, but the body is a little thin.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
[Bottle bought in Flensburg at 3 am after Deutschland-Portugal (3-1)].
Normally you can drink only a few schwarzbiers before you are stuffed, but thisone is so thin, that you can continue for hours and good for that at that night. No doubt that it’s a schwarzbier, but it’s watery and could need more body. Otherwise it contains the usually notes as roasted malt and chocolate.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Blackish colour with a huge mostly lasting light brown head. Aroma and taste of roasted malts, sugar and fruits. A bit watery like most schwarzbiers. Godd one though.
