(bottle) Dark brown colour with a medium foamy brown head. Shy nose of toasted malts. Sweet and bitter flavour with roasted malts turning dry and bitter with a hoppy background in the finish. A little light bodied, but anyway drinkable.

Bottle. Sour dough and burnt malt aroma. Very dark brown opaque color with decent head for a schwarz. Doughy chocolate malt flavor - slight hops and tannins. Not bad - a bit more bitterness than most schwarzbiers.

Dark color with a off white head. The taste is sweet with light chocolate notes and a nice malty palate. Rather good schwarzbier.

A red-brown beer with a nice light brown head. The aroma is lovely sweet malty with primary notes of caramel, but also some chocolate. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted bread, caramel, and straw, but the body is a little thin.

Could have been very good if the balance was better. Strong burned notes after a metallic start...Tha taset is changing all the way through. Some fruit, some sweetness, some dryness. Interesting but unharmonic.

Too carbonated; even not plain-black but a bit reddish; if it weren’t for the sweet aftertaste, I’d be thinking I’m drinking soda. Definitively not what I had expected from a schwarzbier.

Black body with a medium though disappearing head. Delicious bittersweet roasted malt aroma with some hops and brown sugar. Flavor is roasted malt and hops with caramel and brown sugar tones. Not as sweet as expectet and as most other schwarzbiers. Nice and tastefull.

This beer was brought back by some friends who went to Germany. Poured a light amber color and had a big head and left some nice lacing on the glass. The aroma was mostly a wheaty smell with a little lemon. The flavor was much like the aroma - a wheat taste with a hint of lemon but it has a certain bitterness about it that most of this type don't. Not bad at all.

Black coloured. Roast-malty, coffeish taste. Quite okay, but not really good.
