Panzerfaust (561) - Hanga Roa, Easter Island, CHILE - DEC 16, 2008
Pours a dark brown, mahogany color with a medium tan head. It lasts for little and leaves a moderate lacing. Aroma is of chocolate, earth and toasted cereals. Good. I like the malty character. It is not overly strong or anything, but it is pretty decent. Flavor is nice, rounded with some chocolate and cereals and a slight touch of caramel. You can feel also a tiny smokiness. It is not marvelous but it is a nice regular drink. Medium body, light carbonation, a little weak finish. I like it.

Clear dark deep red-brown colour with a medium fairly lasting beige creamish head. The aroma is sweet with roasted malt and caramel, bit of smoke. Rather thin mouthfeel. The flavour is sweet with roasted malt caramel, some smoke, bitter hops and some grains.

50 cL bottle. Pours dark brown with a redish hue and a dense light tan head. Dense roasted malt and light sweet caramel note in the aroma. Breadish and roasted malt flavour. Light acidity and a smooth chocolate note. Nice bitter and light acidic roasted flavour into the finish. Continues with a smooth yet bitter chocolate driven far finish.

Jet black colour with a dark creamy head. Roasted aroma is similar to that of a stout. Some stout characteristics in the flavour too with some roasted malts coming through. The watery thin texture really doesn’t marry with a beer which could be quite rich. This would also benefot from a higher alcohol content. However it’s a good, tasty beer overall.
