Bottle 50cl. @ home.
Clear dark red brown color with a large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, beanes, sea water (salty). Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average duration. For me as a chemicale beer. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. [20090108]

50 cL bottle. Pours dark brown with a redish hue and a dense light tan head. Dense roasted malt and light sweet caramel note in the aroma. Breadish and roasted malt flavour. Light acidity and a smooth chocolate note. Nice bitter and light acidic roasted flavour into the finish. Continues with a smooth yet bitter chocolate driven far finish.

A red-brown beer with a nice light brown head. The aroma is lovely sweet malty with primary notes of caramel, but also some chocolate. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted bread, caramel, and straw, but the body is a little thin.

(Bottle 50 cl) Oettinger seems to brew each and every German style you can possibly think of, so of course there also had to be a Schwarzbier. Almost pitch black, but not completely opaque. Tall and handsome beige head that leaves a lacework. Very aromatic with notes of licorice and not quite as dry as the typical Schwarzes. Actually this is surprisingly soft and a positive surprise from Oettinger. 050200

Bottled (thanks Timo A!). Very deep ruby colour, mediumsized beigeish brown head. Aroma is caramel malts, some syrup as well as toffee. Flavour is quite much the same and overly sweet. Could do with some ingredients that balances the sweetness up.

50cl bottle @ Sky discount, Flensburg. Pours black with a small creamy head and lacings. Roast, chocolate, caramel and grain. Medium and smooth mouthfeel. Dry bitter end. Very enjoyable.

Bottle. Faint, roasted aroma. Dark brown colour with a small light brown head. The flavour is nice, very chocolaty, with a hint of acidity in the aftertaste.

Light red-tinged brown. Thin malts on the nose - bland and metallic. Light toast character, watery, bland beer. Too lousy to be forgettable, unfortunately.

Beautiful deep nutty brown red colour with little creamy off-white head. Lightly roasted aroma with nutty and raisin tones. Very sweet taste with roasted and some sweet fruity tones. Good mouthfeel - quite good.
