COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We dry-hop this American Style India Pale Ale with seven grains and four domestic hop varieties by adding dry whole hops to the finishing tank so the beer rests "on top" of the hops for five extra days! Malty sweetness up front with big cascade and glacier hops in the finish -- a wonderfully drinkable IPA!

Poured into a pint glass. 3.0 A: Hazy medium orange color. One finger of off white head that falls quickly and leaves minimal lacing. 3.5 S: Citrus and pine hops. Touch of crystal malt sweetness and a touch of yeastiness. 3.5 T: Not as bitter as I would have hoped. Citrus hop flavor along with some pine. Neutral maltiness. Decent, but only decent. 4.0 M: Lighter medium body. Good carbonation. Could be creamier. 4.0 D: Goes down really well. Not sure I’d want more than a couple though, especially if better options exist. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 02-24-2010 00:09:16

12 oz bottle at Rhapsody in Chicago.....yes, that’s the name. Pours a nice 1 finger head; excellent hoppy nose. Not too boozy...smooth hoppy taste...short but smooth finish....excellent overall. Will have another.

12oz bottle. Thick and deep unfilttered orange-brown color. Thin, patchy head. Caramel pine aroma, thick and sugary sweet. Definitely a different creature than most American IPAs, this is quite malt forward. Thick sweet brown sugar tones. The hops are present but not enough to balance out the big malts. Unimpressive, maybe old on the shelf?

Aroma had me worried...too much malt with kind of stale hops. Taste follows through with quite a bit of malt for an IPA and a bit of an off-taste of the hops. Not bad per se, but not very good. Missing something, though it’s hard to put my finger on it.

Aroma of citrus hops, pine and balanced by caramel malts. Color is amber with tan head. Flavor matches the nose, really well done, and more malty sweet than expected. Palate is bubbly. Very drinkable IPA.

Bottle poured a hazy orange amber with a lasting creamy ivory heads. Aromas of biscuit, pine, grapefruit, light orange and a hint of tropical fruit. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a lightly dry finish. Flavors of biscuit, earthiness, light grapefruit and a hinmt of pine with a crisp moderatly bitter finish.
