COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our flagship brand; a golden ale brewed with three varieties of barley, two kinds of hops and a Kolsch yeast for a beautiful color and smooth taste.

From a 12 oz. long neck brown bottle with no bottled/freshness date, purchased refrigerated and kept refrigerated. Poured a reddish hued golden with a foamy white head that settled into a fine lacing. The kolsch yeast gives it kolsch-like aromas, fruity and floral, a little earthy grassiness, grainy with a touch of honey. Good carbonation at first, but quickly fizzes out to low carbonation, a softly crisp and smooth lightish medium bodied mouthfeel. Once again, the kolsch yeast gives a lager-like taste, fruity, earthy hops that are very soft in it’s bitterness, a touch of cereal grains, a light honey breadiness towards the end and a sweet fruity and malty finish, not bad, but average drinkability for a blonde ale. Not great, but not bad either, went down well on this humid, thunderstorm ridden St. Louis day.

Very smooth drinkable blonde. I’m very impressed with the quality of Offallon beers. I’ve had a few better in this category but this was very nice. Worth looking into.

(bottle) Medium gold with rapidly fading white head. Faint cereal aroma with a little grassiness. Slightly sweet malt flavor with a hint of fruit in the finish.

12 ounce bottle and served in a standard pint glass: Pours a clean golden hue topped by a small but lasting head and minimal lace. The aroma has notes of grassy and herbal hops, biscuity and grainy malt, note of dry yeast and some apple ester. The taste is a straight forward blend of sweeter malt and light acidic twang with only a dash of bitters. Notes of grain and yeast throughout on the palate. The mouth feel is a tad lively and sprite, a gummy aftertaste. Okay quaffable brew.

Abit sticky, cereal, quite malty. an easy drinking brew, albeit on the sweetish side. I would drink it again, but not worth seeking out, go for the smoked porter. Thanks to MarkR for the brew!

12oz. bottle. Aroma is lightly sweet and grainy, very faintly vegetative and malty, a bit reminscent of some sort of pre-sweetened breakfast cereal. Clear medium golden color with a lasting but fine head. Flavor is lightly malty up front, seeing a very small amount of hop bitterness and flavor about midpoint, and finishing sweet and grainy. Palate is lively and a bit creamy, body is light-medium. Airy and light overall.

Drawn out of the 30-barrel finishing tank for us by the brewer one day before bottling. Amazingly fresh to drink this way, so I suggest that everyone try this. This is an awesome beer that is very underappreciated if the score has anything to do with it. Incandescent gold with a pillowy white head of tremendous thickness. Outstanding fresh grassy aroma mixed with a tinge of hoppiness. Full body for the style. Everything you could want in this category. Balance is superb for a kolsch yeast as this beer lacks the bitter edge that many kolsch yeasts produce. The corn flavor is not apparent to me. Seek out the O’Fallon beers ASAP!

I sampled this beer from a 12 oz bottle while on a tour of the O’Fallon brewery. Very lager-ish. Loads of corny aroma. Crystal clear, with some white head. Low bitterness. Nothing special.
