Headbanger (927), Aurora, Illinois, USA Dec 6, 2007 12oz bottle-A dark brown body with an aroma of spices and slight peppermint. Taste of malt that begins to blend with peppermint. Not very tasty but it was worth someone trying something different but unfortunately didn’t work. RSRIZZO (953), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Nov 18, 2007 Had this beer on 2/27/2005. Aroma is like no other beer its a spicy scent with a distinct peppermint tone on the back. Color is a deep brown with good carbonation and a thin tight head. Taste is odd. Starting with medium body it goes down with a creamy feel. Then the finish comes in with a faint malt flavor that is overtaken by a minty taste that leaves you feeling like you have some old gum in your mouth. Overall its bad, this is one of the worst winter beers I have ever had. I think they had a cool idea but it didn’t work out too well. MrEcted1 (138), Wheat Ridge, Colorado, USA Jun 5, 2006 Updated: Jan 24, 2008Bought this one after the Christmas season. BLECH! What a nasty beer. It has a fairly strong peppermint thing going... which could have been done right but it seemed like this brew was made with dirty water or something. Pours as brown as the water they probably used to brew with it. I couldn’t finish the six-pack and I ended up just giving them away to a buddy... poor guy... Dongster (15), DeKalb, Illinois, USA Jan 18, 2006 Better than I thought a mint beer would be. Slight chocolate flavor to balance the mint with a fairly regular body and finish. Tastes great as dessert with chocolate cake. beervana (782), Libertyville, Illinois, USA Dec 19, 2005 Sampled at a 2005 Christmas and Winter beer tasting at Delilah’s, Chicago, IL. 2004 vintage. Clear amber beer having a long-lasting off-white head with fair lacing. No discernable carbonation. Nice spicy candy aroma. Light-to-medium bodied that starts with slight sweet malt, spice, and toffee flavors. Finishes with light malt aftertaste. Though rather thin textured, this is a good drinkable winter brew.
