COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Thatís right, thereís hemp in this smooth, polished amber ale. To be specific, we use hemp seed - one of the oldest and healthiest of ingredients - to create a subtle toasted nutty flavor that compliments the hops (a botanical cousin to hemp) and rye. We use Cara Rye and Malted Rye for a subtle spiciness and rich ruby color and Victory Malt to tie together the flavors with a nuttiness that compliments the hemp seed flavor. German Hallertauer hops add seasoning and we finish with Cascade hops for a crisp citrus aroma and taste. This wide assortment of flavors harmonize, creating a uniquely smooth and flavorful beer! Enjoy!

Bottled. Poured medium-deep orange with a short layer of beige head. The aroma picked up sweet biscuity notes, caramel, and rye.. some vanilla right on the back of the nose.. came across a bit too sweet. The flavor found sweet nutty notes, vanilla, and caramel at the core, with tart citrus and herbal notes around.. finished sweet with vanilla, nutty notes, and slightly aged hop bitterness. Light-medium bodied, more tart than expected, and a bit tacky on the palate.. this didnít come together for me.

Amber pour, smell of light bready malts and coconut. Flavor is again coconuty, slight metallic, not much else.

Not bad, by any means. A nice nuttiness to the aftertaste. I taste no form of "hemp" in there at all, but I suppose it's just in there for the nutty taste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Unfortunately mild. There is little character in this beer despite having the distinction of a rye addition that should have lent it more spicyness.

Since I just ripped on Chocolate Cherry Stout, I also will put in my assessment of this brew from long ago. It was just bitter and skunky to me, not worth it at all. After these two sad sad beer purchases I pretty much stayed away from OFallon altogether.

Had this from a bottle at rocket. Cloudy orange taste. Bitter and somewhat unpleasant. Peanut and spicy flavor. Earthy. Doesn't do it for me

Bottle from stem and stein. Pours amber with almost no head an little carbonation. Thereís a bit of rye spiciness on the nose. On the palate is blandness. I canít say Iím feeling this one.

A decent rye beer. Really hoppy and not too bitter. Not a beer I would get again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Itís smooth, too smooth. Really lacks flavor. Not much of an aroma on this one. The amber coloring is one of the few positives.

Pours light hazy copper color with a white head. Medium-bodied mouthfeel that is quite smooth and has a caramel, light hops taste. Tasty and unique yet still a true amber. Mild carbonation with a slight spicy aspect as well.
