That’s right, there’s hemp in this smooth, polished amber ale. To be specific, we use hemp seed - one of the oldest and healthiest of ingredients - to create a subtle toasted nutty flavor that compliments the hops (a botanical cousin to hemp) and rye. We use Cara Rye and Malted Rye for a subtle spiciness and rich ruby color and Victory Malt to tie together the flavors with a nuttiness that compliments the hemp seed flavor. German Hallertauer hops add seasoning and we finish with Cascade hops for a crisp citrus aroma and taste. This wide assortment of flavors harmonize, creating a uniquely smooth and flavorful beer! Enjoy!

Bottle. Almost no aroma. For something with Hop in the name, there was a surprising lack of them. Much more sweet than I was expecting. Clean and light. Very easy to drink.

Nice bite....little lacking on the palate. I would try it again to be fair. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle; poured a glowing orange amber color. Aroma of ripe fruit, rotty funk, and wort. Pretty sweet flavor; fruity with some mellow earthy spice. Better flavor than aroma

Cloudy orange amber with a small foamy tan head. Aroma is faint but it’s there, a bit of dough and savory spice. Flavor is a blend of light, spicy rye and toffee malt plus a weird diacetyl flavor that I can’t quite pin down. I don’t know if that was the hemp or what but it just didn’t click for me.

A beverage that arrives with minimal expectations because, really, what do you expect with so many ingredients? One quality this does not have is much of an aroma -- too many ingredients? But it looks darn fine and goes down with little trouble with a snappy little finish that gives a hint of the hop combo.

(12oz bottle) Pours a clear golden body with a small white head. Aroma of citrus, caramel, and herbs. Flavor of orange, grass, toasted rye, earthiness, florals, and caramel.

Sample at Buckeye Beer Engine on 5/4/14. Aroma of menthol and malt. Malty flavor with cherry character before a hoppy finish. Some very odd things going on with this beer.

Spruce hops, very hoppy. Having made rye bread before I can taste the rye and dareisay that adds a rye/bread-y element. Aroma ok, amber really just a basic amber taste...

Bottle. Pours clear amber thin white lacing. Aroma of sweat bread, caramel, and toast. Taste is quite sweet. Medium body, smooth slick texture, bit of a funny butterscotch aftertaste from the combination of ingredients. Ok overall for something different.
