COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
That’s right, there’s hemp in this smooth, polished amber ale. To be specific, we use hemp seed - one of the oldest and healthiest of ingredients - to create a subtle toasted nutty flavor that compliments the hops (a botanical cousin to hemp) and rye. We use Cara Rye and Malted Rye for a subtle spiciness and rich ruby color and Victory Malt to tie together the flavors with a nuttiness that compliments the hemp seed flavor. German Hallertauer hops add seasoning and we finish with Cascade hops for a crisp citrus aroma and taste. This wide assortment of flavors harmonize, creating a uniquely smooth and flavorful beer! Enjoy!

Bottle. Faint sweet malty aroma. Hazy amber with a small beige head and some spotty lacing. Light caramel malt flavor, and a bare hint of bitterness in the finish. Not really unpleasant, just very little aroma or flavor

Had this from a bottle at rocket. Cloudy orange taste. Bitter and somewhat unpleasant. Peanut and spicy flavor. Earthy. Doesn't do it for me

Bottle from stem and stein. Pours amber with almost no head an little carbonation. There’s a bit of rye spiciness on the nose. On the palate is blandness. I can’t say I’m feeling this one.

A decent rye beer. Really hoppy and not too bitter. Not a beer I would get again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

It’s smooth, too smooth. Really lacks flavor. Not much of an aroma on this one. The amber coloring is one of the few positives.

Pours light hazy copper color with a white head. Medium-bodied mouthfeel that is quite smooth and has a caramel, light hops taste. Tasty and unique yet still a true amber. Mild carbonation with a slight spicy aspect as well.

Pours a hazy light copper into a tulip glass. Two fingers of off white head that dissipates to a sustained film and leaves good lacing. Aroma of caramel and bread with some earthiness and a hint of light fruit. Rye and pumpernickel bread with toffee and toasted malt. A nice earthy flavor with very little hop presence. Mouthfeel was semi full and somewhat sticky with light carbonation. Beer relies on its malt bill to provide most of the flavor. Good but leans toward being too sweet and could have used a bit more carbonation for my taste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 oz bottle pours a hazy orange/amber with quickly dissipating white head. Aroma is mostly sweet malts with touches of rye and citrus hops. Taste is sweet with a slightly bitter finish. Medium body, slight carbonation, and a sticky mouthfeel. An average amber ale, although I had hoped it would be something else.

We had this beer at the 2013 Tops of the Hops in Biloxi, MS. O’Fallon is new around here, and they were definitely our find of the night. We liked all of their stuff! This one is made from toasted hemp seeds. One of the first beers we tried that night. It was an early favorite, and it ended up being Rob’s absolute favorite beer of the night. He was pointing everyone that way to try it.

The beer pours an orangish red with an off-white head that dissipates quickly, and the aroma is subtly roasted nuts. The taste is similar to roasted wheat with a slight sourness, and the aftertaste is astringent. The carbonation is average, and there is a slick feel that accompanies the medium body.

Pours semi-clear reddish gold color with small white head. Nose is mostly yeast a slight hop floral presence. Light bodied, a lot of weird floral yeast and tastes like some off adjuncts were added. Just a hint of the rye sweetness. Tastes good but probably won’t buy again.
