Aroma is caramel malts, toffee and a hint of earthiness. The flavor is caramel malts, light toffee, fruit and a mix of grainy, beery and slightly metallic in the finish.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 kdm1984 (433) - Missouri, USA - APR 26, 2013
Pours deep copper with a pretty sizable head and thin, creamy lacing that sticks nicely to the glass. Aroma not much at all - just some slightly pungent, peaty malts. Flavor is a nice, light, toasty profile, very typical for the style; just a hint of spice sets it apart. Nice Irish Ale, and the best O’Fallon beer I’ve had so far. If it were more aromatic, it’d be closer to 3.4 or 3.5, but I still give it a solid 3.

On tap @ Radio Maria, ordered accidentally. Red amber colour, no head. Aroma is caramel and vague red fruits with a candyish sweetness, maybe red liquorice? Sweet caramel flavour with leathery notes and a dry finish. I didn’t care for it.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 rubbishystuff (1564) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 1, 2013
Thanks to Uncle Dave. Thinner bodied less roasted red ale. Dry finish. Hops at the end maybe a little too strong. Serving: Bottle

12 oz. bottle from The Party Source. Meant to consume this on St. Patrick’s Day but didn’t get a chance to drink any beers that day. An off day for the NCAA Tournament will do. Pours a clear copper color with a small off-white head. Aroma of caramel malts, leaves, and toast. Flavor of caramel malts, peanuts, dry leaves, toasted brown sugar, and some spice at the end. Light-medium bodied, with a sweet, sharp mouthfeel and carbonation that makes itself known at the end. Not bad.

tap Nice deep amber color with a soft notes (slight hints of mixed fruit). Sweet in taste with a nice kick of liquor towards the end, but a little too light/watery on the palate
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 CanIHave4Beers (2495) - Des Moines, Iowa, USA - MAR 14, 2013
Pours a red color with a small well retained white head.
The aroma is husky grain, some chocolate, and some light fruity notes.
The flavor is a nice balance of roasty, lightly chocolaty, and toffee malt. There are some odd elements, the red apple skin is a little brash, and the light smokiness doesn’t really bring anything appealing to the overall flavor. But this is a perfectly nice beer all in all.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 MrBunn (2219) - Western, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 6, 2013
Bottle. Pours a nice clear red with a small head and aromas of autumn leaves and wet soil with a little twang that reminds me of rye. Flavor is thin and washed out a bit. Not my favorite style and not my favorite beer in the style.
