Agaguk (119), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada Apr 13, 2009 Bottle shared with Grand Genie. Dark brown almost black appearance with a minimal taned head. Aroma: smokey whiskey, oak, caramel, molasses, leather and coco. Flavor: smokey whiskey, coco, very light taste of molasses, prunes, black cherrys and vanilla. Palate: soft carbonation, creamy with an oily whiskey oak finish. JimVanGumby (11), Cottleville, Missouri, USA Apr 8, 2009 I was extremely pleased with this one, which was somewhat of a surprise to me. Being that it is brewed locally in my area, I wasn’t expecting a whole lot even for the price I paid. It was relatively easy to drink with a bit more than just a hint of whiskey flavor. I would not recommend for whiskey dislikers. However I found it very enjoyable and wished for more after the bottle was empty. I approve. BillKismet (1899), Seattle, Washington, USA Apr 5, 2009 Dark brown with a crisp brown, light head. Pleasant aromatics of smokey whiskey with nice graininess. Very well-stated and well executted. The flavor is more characterized by smoke than is the aroma. Good flavor and an awesome grill-out brew. after4ever (2711), Brier, Washington, USA Apr 5, 2009 Liquid Sunshine V. 22, capped and waxed. Crystal clear ebony with bright rubied highlights. Headless. Laceless. Mild sweet smoky fruit nose. Creamy medium body. Smoky, chocolatey mid-palate. pantani (1894), Salinas, California, USA Apr 5, 2009 Black with a tan head. Aroma is whisky and roasty up front, caramel, smoked malt.
