Sep 9, 2007 Bottled. A pitch black beer with a thin brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with light notes of smoke, bacon, and vegetables. The flavor is sweet and very smoky, but also with notes of chocolate and caramel. I find the the body a bit on the light side.

May 13, 2008 Rate beer rating # 4,200. 22oz, red waxed, bottle acquired in trade with xmarcnolanx (thanks!). Poured a dark brown with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of chocolate, charred wood, vanilla, whiskey (but not overpowering), and smoke. Some earthiness came out as I poured more. Tastes of whiskey (more than the aromas), chocolate, some wood, and some roastiness. The whiskey was there but not too strong or overbearing. Thinner body.
