COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Zeke’s is a dry, crisp, light-bodied pale ale brewed with Galaxy hops, which gives it a unique citrusy flavor and aromas of passion fruit, grapefruit and pineapple. O’Fallon brewmaster Brian Owens created Zeke’s because he wanted a smooth and relatively easy to drink beer with a rich, full hop aroma and flavor.

Poured clear dark golden color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate citrus hop and fruit aroma. Medium bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Drinkable brew.

Pours clear gold with a medium white head. Citrus and herbs hops with some sweet malts. Light to medium bitter and same on sweetness. Medium body with a crisp texture and slight bitter finish. Not a bad pale ale but certainly nothing special.

Had this at the Great Arkansas Beer Festival 2014. Pours pale yellow with some white head. Expected good things, but this tasted very odd - salty. Some citrus in the aroma but it was ruined by the odd flavor. Usually I like O’Fallon stuff, but this must have been a bad bottle.

I had a bunch of these the other night (gratis), so I smuggled one home to give it a fair rating. It has a slightly hazed golden body with a modest head. The aroma has a cereal sweetness with some soft grapefruit and zest scents and just a touch of the cat box. It has a quiet flavor that’s reflective of the nose with an even quieter zest bitterness. It’s definitely repeatable in this warm weather (even without the additional stimulants of the other night), but I most likely won’t be seeking it out. (Note: Since it’s readily available at the supermarket two blocks from my apartment, that last comment [seeking it out] was a really stupid one to write.)

Enormous, impressive head. Pale gold. Smells like - BLEUGH! Infected dirty sock and litter box. Almost passed out on first few whiffs. Where on EARTH are those pineapples and passion fruits in the description!? After it sits, it merely becomes malty. No fruit. After a great appearance and sickening aroma, I can only wonder what this might taste like. Bracing myself...ok. BLEUGH. Medicine followed by banana hop. Why must this be so offensive to start? Another drainpour today. UGH. Maybe I got a bad bottle? I seem to be the only one who finds this utterly disgusting. Undated, went into a mixed sixer.

Bottle: Pours clear, golden-amber with a soft, off-white head. Mild grapefruit aroma. Flavour is mild also.....grapefruit peel, caramel malt. Nothing exciting, but pretty solid.

12 ounce bottle. Orange pour. Malty with some citrus and fruity finish. Maybe too much on the malt end for being a pale.
