COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Zeke’s is a dry, crisp, light-bodied pale ale brewed with Galaxy hops, which gives it a unique citrusy flavor and aromas of passion fruit, grapefruit and pineapple. O’Fallon brewmaster Brian Owens created Zeke’s because he wanted a smooth and relatively easy to drink beer with a rich, full hop aroma and flavor.

Hazy amber color with off-white head. Not much going on on the aroma, just some generic hops, slightly dank and some underlying caramel malt. Taste starts with a slight fruity sweetness but then comes a stale note. Fortunately it disappears quickly and it finishes quite clean with medium to low hop bitterness and lingering grapefruit flavor. Body is on the lighter side but it has a nice mouthfeel. Overall it’s a pretty decent pale ale.

Draft at brewery. Orange gold color. The best of the regular lineup. A normal hoppy pale ale. Nice, slightly American hop flavor but indistinct. A clean malt flavor with mineral and light hop bitter finish.

355ml bottle. Moderately cloudy, amber colour with small, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Citrusy hoppy and caramel malty aroma, hints of orange, mandarine and lemon. Taste is citrusy hoppy, hints of lemon, orange, mandarine, caramel malty background. Quite fruity, but nothing special.

Bottle. Orange juice and grapefruit peel aroma. Golden yellow with moderate head. Lightly sweet orange malt and moderately bitter grapefruit peel flavor. Nice body and balance. A decent if straight forward APA.

Bottle. Dark golden body with white head. Aroma is fruits with some malts. Taste a little bit of malts and not much more. Aftertaste is bitter with some malts in the background. Was expecting more maybe a little bit to old.

12oz bottle from Joe Canals EHT. Poured an alright looking clear light amber body with an average to smaller frothy white head. Aroma of vomit, grains, old citrus. Luckily the vomit is not present in the taste, dry malty grains, toast, hint of nutshell and super dried out citrus rinds. Medium mouthfeel average carbonation and a lingering aftertaste.
