COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
For Apex Predator Farmhouse Ale, we pitch the yeast cold, turn off the temperature control, and let the yeast do it’s thing. To our delight, it spat out the sweet scent of juicy fruit wafting from a frothy, white mane. Brewed only with grain and sugar unencumbered by the heat of the kiln, we create a hazy, golden body. Apex Predator gets its teeth from a generous Crystal dry-hopping that completes the dry finish with a fruity bite. Pounce on the opportunity to let it part your lips and you may find yourself at the top of the food chain.

Smells orange, yeast, wheat, slight funk. Pour light gold, slightly cloudy with a thick white head. Tastes bright, like sunshine. Orange and apple notes, spice, no funk, not bitter, not sweet. Medium body, highly carbonated, dry finish. Well balanced beer. Disclosure: I love Farmhand ales.

12oz bottle. Pours only slightly hazy yellow, white head, low retention. Aroma is honey, peach, bubblegum. Flavor is fruity, sweet, noticeably hopped and with middling hop bitterness on the end. Slightly funky, dry, and spicy. Highly carbonated, creamy mouthfeel, but a dry finish that stays with you. Interesting, well worth a try.

Bottle from Meuelemans. Very pale cloudy yellow with lasting head and lace. Very spicy aroma bready wheaty tang and lemon zest. Mild tropical fruit sweetness with wheaty tang and umami (?) and fairly dry spicy finish with hints of citrus. Medium light body. Soft mouthcoating palate. Interesting and complex. Takes aminute to get used to especially the very bready doughy aroma. But very good.

This was poured into a tulip. The appearance was a hazy yellow color with a one and a half finger white foamy head that dissipated within less than a minute. Lacing was slightly spotty and here and there. The smell had nice fresh sweet grassy tones roll over light sweet bready yeasty orange aromas. With a little bit of pepper, everything rounds out super nice. The taste had a sticky sweet flavor rolling over the light breadiness and bringing in a nice semi-spiced flavoring underneath. There’s a sweet sticky aftertaste with a quick little spiced sweet finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice sessionability about it. Carbonation is light and pretty good allowing the sweet breadiness and light spices stick to my tongue nicely. Overall, this was a really nice saison, semi-dry that I would love to have again.

Bottle; poured a hazy light amber/dark gold color. Whitish head that lingered. Aroma was good; funky farmhouse, yeast, wheat, fruit, sweet and spicy. Soft and drinkable on the palate with an interesting finish.. Sweet fades too bittersweet. Fruity and bready, with some spiciness. Soft and full palate

Bottle. Hazy golden body with a huge, pillowy white head, fully lasting. Aroma of Belgian yeast, citrus, spice, tropical fruit, cobwebs, pepper. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly sweet, lightly to moderately bitter and lightly to moderately acidic. Medium body, watery/velvety texture, lively carbonation. Dry finish. Taste of passion fruit, citrus, lemon and light basement mustiness. Clean and different. Quite good.

Bottle. Pours slightly cloudy, but not opaque. Bright light basil like aroma. Nicely carbonated with a lingering slickness that craves the next sip.
