COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
For Apex Predator Farmhouse Ale, we pitch the yeast cold, turn off the temperature control, and let the yeast do it’s thing. To our delight, it spat out the sweet scent of juicy fruit wafting from a frothy, white mane. Brewed only with grain and sugar unencumbered by the heat of the kiln, we create a hazy, golden body. Apex Predator gets its teeth from a generous Crystal dry-hopping that completes the dry finish with a fruity bite. Pounce on the opportunity to let it part your lips and you may find yourself at the top of the food chai

On tap @ Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2014. A nice bright golden looking slightly clouded one with a good looking white medium sized really lacing white head. Citrus on the nose. Also tones of lemons, lots of oranges, wheat sweetness and a loud grassy kick. Not bad at all, fresh. It’s mild oily in the mouth and just above average on the bubbles. Lots grapefruit citrus in the taste. Also, it’s really astringent with a month drying sensation after a while. Hay and lemons. Well, I really enjoyed the aroma but to taste did not completely match it. Still... 02.05.2014

Bottle. Pours hazy golden with a soft white head. Immediately smell lemon with a little hint of clove. Tastes of toast, cream, lemongrass, and a little peach. Definitely different from other Saisons. Has a buttery creamy smooth palate with just the right amount of carbonation. A crisp and refreshing beer.

On tap at Dutch’s. Hazy bright golden yellow color. Pours with a bigger off-white head. Leaves good thicker lace. Good mild citrus, mild belgian yeast, some herbal flavors. Medium body. Smooth, kind of soft lighter carbonation. Good creaminess to the texture. Light dry finish. Moderate sweet taste, kind of tangy. Light tartness. Solid, tasty, bright refreshing saison.

Atlanta, Ga. - Hop City - 12 oz bottle. Hazy dark golden pour, thick filmy white head that leaves a nice film of lacing. Aroma has some floral accents, some pomegranate sweetness, Flavor has a nice solid mango-like fruitiness, some buttery notes, a touch of sweet cake mix. Mouthfeel has a nice thickness. Very enjoyable.

Overall quite nice and complex. Has some light tartness with a good deal of earthiness and cereal. Finishes a bit dry with some nice pepper notes. Reminds me a little bit of sofie, though a bit more earthy.

8/17/2014. From bottle. Pours a cloudy golden yellow with a white head. Citrus aromas with tropical fruit, wheat and spices. Fruity flavors, yeast shows well. Not overly spicy. Light, dry finish.

The beer is a pale golden color. It’s quite cloudy. They head is big, fluffy and white. Good lacing, retention. A nice layer sticks around for quite awhile. The aroma is a mix fruity and farmhouse flavors. There’s fruit from hops and yeast. Tangerine, apricot, honeysuckle, mango. Pleasantly sweet and interesting. Subtler farmhouse dustiness, mostly in the background. Mouthfeel is very gentle and full. Distinctly similar to Troublesome. Gives the taste a gentle, full character. The taste is moderately sweet with fresh grain. The fruit shows up strong. Firm bitterness, particularly in the finish. Mild farmyard flavor, mild funk. Interesting mix of flavors. The mouthfeel is really key to this beer, and I hope it’s a hallmark of Off Color. The beer is soft and easy to drink with lots of flavor. Tasty.
