For Apex Predator Farmhouse Ale, we pitch the yeast cold, turn off the temperature control, and let the yeast do it’s thing. To our delight, it spat out the sweet scent of juicy fruit wafting from a frothy, white mane. Brewed only with grain and sugar unencumbered by the heat of the kiln, we create a hazy, golden body. Apex Predator gets its teeth from a generous Crystal dry-hopping that completes the dry finish with a fruity bite. Pounce on the opportunity to let it part your lips and you may find yourself at the top of the food chain.

Aroma - coriander, spiced wheat, lemon, and some Belgian yeast Appearance - the body is a cloudy maize. The head is white and 2". Foamy and settles slowly. Great foamy lacing. Taste - mix of lemony citrus, spiced wheat, some coriander, and Belgian yeast. Palate - light body, lively texture, dry effervescent finish with some citrus.

Bottle. Pours a hazy golden color with a small white head. Spicy and fruity aroma. Flavor is dominated by tropical fruit. Finishes dry with some bitterness. This is very good.

Light fruity aroma, with hints of peaches. Very hazy straw color with a thin white head. Very clean taste, with a hint of grain and black pepper. Finishes very dry, light bodied and amazingly easy to drink. This is a very good saison, and I wish it was available around me.

My Bottom Line:
Grapefruit and ginger connotations build a bright perfume for this otherwise doughy and lightly herbal Belgian-style Ale.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam sits atop the bright yellow haze.
-White bread dough strangely takes over in the flavour profile, where one would expect more of the spicy citrus to take hold.
-The mouthfeel is comfortable, yet needs fluffier effervescence, imho.
-Overall, this remains a fun, very drinkable brew from beginning to end.

Pour is an off-putting sick yellow with almost green tints to it. No head. Smell is sweet fresh grass, popcorn, hops, vinegar and yeast. Taste is somewhere between lager territory and like a radler maybe. Fruity, bouquet is there in the taste. Interesting, but no "my jam"

Nice yeast and fruit nose. Has a bright, clean white grape wine taste up front. Sweet and tart but not fruity. Very drinkable although it could be more complex. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 oz bottle. Quite cloudy yellow to orange with a thin and soapy white head. Aroma of lemon peel, honey, pears, yeast. Medium bodied, good carbonation. Lemon, Juicy Fruit gum, banana, apple, light grains, mild hop bitterness. Just a little funky film that sticks around.

12 oz bottle poured. Semi cloudy golden pour with almost no head to it. Aroma has a soft champagne like yeast with some citrus and grain. Flavor is on the dry side, soft lemon and orange fruit. Dry, yeast heavy, and fruit finish. Bit of a biting carb that lingers. Fun try. Not bad.

Golden in color with a white lacy head. Aroma is of lemon zest and pink peppercorn. Initial flavor is mildly tart with a generous amount of mixed fruity spices. Finishes clean and crisp.

12 ounce bottle for the hazy yellow with a small white head. Citrus and orange taste with a slight yeast finish. Great beer.
