COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
For Apex Predator Farmhouse Ale, we pitch the yeast cold, turn off the temperature control, and let the yeast do it’s thing. To our delight, it spat out the sweet scent of juicy fruit wafting from a frothy, white mane. Brewed only with grain and sugar unencumbered by the heat of the kiln, we create a hazy, golden body. Apex Predator gets its teeth from a generous Crystal dry-hopping that completes the dry finish with a fruity bite. Pounce on the opportunity to let it part your lips and you may find yourself at the top of the food chain.

Bottle:   Orangish straw, moderate to lareg frothy white head, nice lacing.   Sweet nose of wheat, straw, hay, and some fruity bits.   Smidgen of floral notes.   Musty and barnish on the tongue.   Clean, slightly wheatiness with a touch of fruit on the backside.   Moderate to full body and mouthfeel.   A touch of mealiness on the finish, but its minor.   Moderately sweet, light carbonation.   Somewhere inbetween those from Belgian and those overly mealy examples that come from the USA.   Fairly nice.

Pours a hazy yellow from a pretty bottle. Aroma is simple but nice, yeast, lemon, funk. Taste is earthy, grainy, just a touch of fruity ester but finishes quite dry. A nice saison, not complex but also not over spiced.

Pours hazy orange-yellow with white head that leaves some decorative skim and lace. Extravagantly fruity nose: peach, mango, kiwi with underlying hints of must and funk. Flavor isn’t nearly as strong, but adds a bit of pear, spice and lemony finish. Medium body with very nice feel and well-controlled alcohol. Finish is clean, dry and mercifully non-bitter. Nice choice, especially for warmer weather.

Drank from a pint glass, poured from a bottle? This beer didn’t wow me and had too much tartness going on for a Saison.

12 ounce bottle. Pours an unclear golden yellow with two inch white head that lasts. Taste is yeast, malt, hops, citrus and spice. Similar aroma. Has a decent body with a tart finish. Not bad.

Moyen.

FROTHINGSLOSH (6738) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 21, 2016
Sampled on draft at 3R6P this beer poured a murky bright golden-apricot color with a medium sized fluffy orange-white head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was yeasty, chalky, citric and musty. The flavor was chalky, citric, yeasty and musty. The flavor was chalky, citric, yeasty and musty. Medium length finish. Medium body. Ok.

8/19. Bottle from State Line. Pours a hazy opaque yellow. Light lemon, yeasty aroma. Teste is similar, very straightforward without spices in a good way. Medium body with some fizz. Nice.

That’s delicious. I wish it were cheap enough for a session 6 pack. That’s my main gripe really. I can get things about this quality in a 6pk for less money.

Bottle shared by a friend. Pours clear gold with a thick white head. Aroma of malt, funk and piney hop. Malty flavor with slight funk before a grassy hop finish.
