COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
For Apex Predator Farmhouse Ale, we pitch the yeast cold, turn off the temperature control, and let the yeast do it’s thing. To our delight, it spat out the sweet scent of juicy fruit wafting from a frothy, white mane. Brewed only with grain and sugar unencumbered by the heat of the kiln, we create a hazy, golden body. Apex Predator gets its teeth from a generous Crystal dry-hopping that completes the dry finish with a fruity bite. Pounce on the opportunity to let it part your lips and you may find yourself at the top of the food chai

Tap at The Cove in Baton Rouge. Smells of armpit. Really strong aroma. Fruity taste and smooth. Probably the best saison I ever had.

Bottle. Pours hazy gold with thick, creamy white head. Aroma is biscuit and bready malts, tropical fruit esters, sweaty funk, and light grassy notes. Flavor is dry malts, light citrus esters, light hop bitterness, and some funky yeasty esters. A little thin with light carbonation.

From a bottle. Pours cloudy yellow gold with a foamy, bubbly white head. Tastes like dry lemon citrus, light herb, light yeast, a little tangy, wheat. Light/medium body and carbonation. Smells like yeast, musky wheat, light cheese and citrus.

Tap. Slightly hazy amber color. Medium size, white head, stays. Sweet, fruity, vinegar, buttery and pineapple in aroma. Raspberries, old chewing gum, spearmint in taste. Spicy mouthfeel. I mean really this is like Mynthon of beers. Signs of old.

Lemon, peach candy aroma. Flavor is grassy, mild mineral, mild raw wheat, cereal grain, pear, hint of apricot. All around really solid, but failing to blow my mind.

Tap (Pudel, Tallinn)
Bright orange, brief large tight head, was hard to pour. Slightly vegetal saisony aroma, quite some sourness too. Fairly thin palate, a little bit of sweet smoothness from residual sugars, crisp-to-high carbonation. Simple pale grains, some breakfast cereal corniness, slightly messy and vegetal. Does cover 6% fairly well, but is a very dull beer. Finish leaves me with one of the sweet breakfast cereals I had when I was a kid, one of the scarier chemical sweet ones ("golden nuggets", IIRC).

Tap @ Mikkeller & Friends, Copenhagen 16/7-14. Fruity and yeasty with hoppy and light spicy notes, pine needles. The finish is dry and bitter with fruity and hoppy notes.

Hazy golden with a thin white head. Nice aromas of white grape, hints of spiciness and a touch herbal and a light sulfur note as it warms up. Lively attack, pretty carbonated, medium body, creamy, pretty bold palate for a saison. Finishes on this white grape note which leaves some sweetness to the finish altough I suspect final gravity is pretty low, it feels like there’s some sugars left. Pretty interesting saison, well-made and defenitely drinkable.

On tap at sidedoor. Pours a super hazy gold, lasting white head. Aroma is full of mango, guava, creamsicle, tangerine, pineapple, faint vanilla. Flavor is super juicy citrus fruit, transitioning to a light hop bite on the finish. Really creamy & smooth. Light, smooth, zesty finish... Really nice.
