3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle - Pours black with a ring of tan head. Nose is boozy whiskey, with chocolate, coffee grounds, and lots of vanilla. Taste is vanilla-forward, with lots of chocolate, a little coffee, and a sweet, lightly roasty finish. Oily, thick body with a biting carbonation. Decent, but not really my thing.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
On tap in a World of Beer. Thin dark body. Kind of boozy smelling. Interesting. Tastes like marshmallows. Was hoping for more, but it was pretty good.

Very nice! Definitely getting chocolate. Marshmallows perhaps not as much, but this is a good one.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from Berkeley Bowl West. Pours very dark brown with a slight dark tan head that left rapidly. Aroma of sugar, chocolate and graham flour. Almost full bodied, but not quite. Flavor is chocolate, graham flour and vanilla. Should say smooth burnt malt, but it’s kind of hidden. Tasty, and the heat isn’t obnoxious. Still, and I don’t recall putting this in a rating before, it, to me, is a bit overrated. More "body" might help. Or not.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Pours a near black color with a smallish tan head on there. Nose is definitely roasty, with some chocolate and vanilla coming through, as well as just a bit of spiced breadiness I can attribute to the graham crackers. Taste is a bit roasty and definitely sweet, with hints of smores to it. Interesting brew...

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
8 ounce pour - $8.00 at The Porter in Atlanta, Georgia.
Appearance: Dispensed black from the tap and topped with half an inch with tan froth. Coating lace on the descent.
Smell: Predominately, a scent of well-roasted malts, with bitterish dark chocolate, cinnamon-dosed pie crusts with light touches of dark fruit.
Taste: Roast malt, burnt cream with an understated taste of bitterish chocolate. The graham cracker flavor sure feels infused with a heavy dose of powdered cinnamon. Minor, fleeting touches of the vanilla and marshmallow. Dark fruitiness, a little bit tangy. Drying, roasty finish, and, I swear, still so cinnamon-y.
Mouthfeel: Medium-plus body. Medium carbonation, though feeling fairly soft on the tongue.
Overall: Though interesting and well worth a try, I was a little thankful for the scant serving size of a mere eight ounces.

Bottle shared. Oily flat black pour. Aroma is roasty, lots of vanilla, marshmallows, fruity. Taste is sweet, roasty with a lot of vanilla, light acrid roastiness. Palate is unfortunately a bit flat med bodied with light carbonation, a bit watery.

UPDATED: APR 20, 2015 Live from NH. Bottle (12 oz). Shared by Chris, thanks! Split 3-ways.
Appearance: Murky brown with a small tan head and little lacing.
Aroma: Chocolate, marshmallow, vanilla notes, maple syrup and caramel notes.
Taste: Much more flavorful than the aroma with tons of marshmallow, cocoa, vanilla, caramel and medium to heavy sweetness.
Palate: Medium body. Medium carbonation. Marshmallow finish.
Overall: Quite flavorful RIS, but it does get hard a bit hard to drink because of all going on in this one. Tasty.
