COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Most brewers spend a lot of time and effort keeping lactobacillus out of their breweries; it was the first thing we brought in (it still has to stay in the corner though). We blend together two different beers to make Troublesome. The first is a somewhat uninteresting wheat beer and the second is an overly acidic & funky beer fermented solely with lactobacillus. We blend the two beers together with coriander and salt at the tail end of fermentation to create a mild, lemony tartness and a fuller sensation of mouthfeel. And yes, itís hard to make.

Bottle shared by a kind soul at the Tampa weekly tasting. Pours yellow with a white head. Nose is some wheat, some bread, some lemon, and some lacto. Flavor is similar with wheat, bread, lemon, lacto, coriander, and some yogurty tartness. Light in body and tart overall.

12oz bottle. Pours hazy yellow, diminishing white head, little lacing. Aroma is yeasty funk, lemon, wheat. Flavor is tart, citrusy, mild yeasty wheat. Sharp carbonation, tart bite at the end, slight bitterness at the end. Light, very easy to drink. Itís 90+* today, so this is perfect for that. Anything cooler and I think it would almost be too light. First try of Off-Color, not too bad.

Light straw and fruit in the aroma. Nice golden color. Not as tart as I thought it would be based on the description. The taste is balanced but could have a bit more bite. Overall very quenching.

[7094-20150304] Tap. Straw apple grains aroma. Slightly hazy, pale yellow body with a medium-lasting creamy white head. Sweet apple pear flavour with a long grainy aftertaste. Medium body. Good. (7/3/8/3/15) 3.6

Pours a hazy gold w/ a long lasting white head that leaves pretty lacing. The aroma has a funky sour & tart thing going thatís quite interesting. The taste is much more mild as itís rather light on the palate w/ a bit of that funkiness in the finish. Itís pretty unique to me & overall definitely worth a shot to try!

Lightly hazy with a thin white head. Aroma of coriander and lemon. Light sour and saltiness behind stronger lemon and wheat flavors. Sort of a "gose light" that, I have to admit, works pretty darn well.

Lightly hazy pale yellow with a white head and visible carbonation. Aroma is coriander, wheat, hint of apricot. Light bodied, slightly creamy mouthfeel, refreshing and lightly fruity on the palate with a salty aftertaste. Taste is wheat, citrus, coriander, salt.

12 bottle from a San Diego liquor store. Nose is banana, coriander , white bread, and a hint of tartness. Lightly hazy yellow with a medium white head. Flavor is fruity, coriander, a slight tartness, and yeasty.

Pours pilsner yellow, white head, persistent bubbles. Smell is dominated by coriander, light tart lemon. Taste is a medium sweet hefeweizen, mild tart-ness, finished with spice and salt. Fine idea, but ultimately I think Iíd like more funky gose and sour with less traditional wheat beer influence.

This has a light bubbliness and zest, almost like lemon. Itís light and mildly interesting. A good starter beer to the evening.
