COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Most brewers spend a lot of time and effort keeping lactobacillus out of their breweries; it was the first thing we brought in (it still has to stay in the corner though). We blend together two different beers to make Troublesome. The first is a somewhat uninteresting wheat beer and the second is an overly acidic & funky beer fermented solely with lactobacillus. We blend the two beers together with coriander and salt at the tail end of fermentation to create a mild, lemony tartness and a fuller sensation of mouthfeel. And yes, itís hard to make.

At local option. Good to see rare styles being brewed. Not bad but a little too salty and the yeasty-ness was maybe a bit cottony. Serving: tap ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Winooski Beverage Warehouse. Aroma: Wheat, bread, lemon. App: clear pale blonde with nice frothy head and some lacing, Taste and Palate: Full body, fizzy, abrupt finish. salty with some coriander flavor. Overall: good combination between a wheat beer and a gose but not an exceptional blend.

12 oz bottle pours hazy yellow with a white head. Aroma of malts, yeast, fruit and a little sour. Taste is banana, malt and a hint of tartness.

Notes from 2013 takeover at Monkís Pub. Looks like fun, even though itís almost as pale as the Bug Flats beer. A nice puffy head over a whitish cloudy body. The smell is kind of spicy, and a bit of a slap of pale malt. Taste is quite a slap, too. Very tart and lemony, like a Berliner Weisse. A bit salty, but only like the "electrolytes" in a Gatorade. Mouthfeel is too thick to be the lawnmower beer it appears as. Zesty taste contains the spiciness, coriander is not quite pronounced among the general spice bouquet.

From the 11/2014 3R6P gathering. +++ Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy yellow color with a small foamy white head that faded quickly and left a bit of lacing. The aroma was musty - in a bad off way - with coriander and phenol. The flavor was musty, bred dough, phenol, egg white and a bit of coriander. Long egg white and must finish. Medium body. Not good.

Less than great attempt with a mild lemony acidity, a rather weak saltiness on the finish, and a flat and thin palate that disappoints somewhat.

Bottle. Pours a light straw gold. Smells of wheat and sour fruit. Nice balance between some sour fruit berries, wheat creaminess, and a little salty. Easy to drink and has a nice feel on the tongue.

From a bottle. Pours opaque gold with a thick, foamy, bubbly white head. Tastes a little salty, dry, like sweet lemon, doughy malt. Medium body and low carbonation. Smells like sweet dough, lemon, wheat, salty.

Bottle. Ours crystal clear golden, medium white head, dissipates slowly, nice lacing. Aroma is light, sour mash, lemon, wheat, coriander. Flavor is very light sour, lots of coriander, a bit of lemon, wheat, a bit of banana. Light body, minimal salt. Fair for style, not distinctive above a typical hef.

Bottle (love the label). Very pale yellow, modest head that rapidly recedes to a surface skein. Sweaty, wheaty aroma, hints of lemon, hints of pig manure. Light spritzy palate, wheaty with hints of lemon, lightly tart finish. Refreshing.

Bottle shared with a friend at World of Beer in Gainesville. Pours hazy yellowish white colored with a creamy white head on top. Aroma of bananas, clove, yeasty funk, pears, coriander. As expected here. Flavor follows with sweet bananas, yeast, corander, a bit of honey. Mouthfeel is heavy for the style with big rich flavors alongside adequate to plus carbonation. Overall a decent rendition of the style--described as a Witbier, but here looks to be a Gose. As a Witbier, it falls a little short. As a Gose, itís better than others Iíve had. I would drink it again.
