COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Most brewers spend a lot of time and effort keeping lactobacillus out of their breweries; it was the first thing we brought in (it still has to stay in the corner though). We blend together two different beers to make Troublesome. The first is a somewhat uninteresting wheat beer and the second is an overly acidic & funky beer fermented solely with lactobacillus. We blend the two beers together with coriander and salt at the tail end of fermentation to create a mild, lemony tartness and a fuller sensation of mouthfeel. And yes, itís hard to make.

At local option. Good to see rare styles being brewed. Not bad but a little too salty and the yeasty-ness was maybe a bit cottony. Serving: tap ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Barely hazed yellow with a scummy white head that quickly dissipates. Aromas are a complex blend of all sorts of yeast byproducts: fruit, banana, hay. Flavors are coriander, spice, a little salt but everything is a little muted. Could use some more sourness. Great mouthfeel, incredibly smooth and surprising thick.

Not my style of beer. Yeasty, fruity,Belgium style beer. Smells of yeast and bananas. Pours cloudy yellow with a white head. Had at fairways in Chicago. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

(bottle - 12 oz) Clear gold with a fizzy white head. Slightly sour and spicy aroma with a good hint of coriander. Dry and bitter at the start of the flavor with a sour coriander spiced middle. Dry finish.

12 oz bottle, poured into a snifter at ~45 degrees F. Appearance: Pours a mildly hazy, very pale straw gold and forms a massive, if somewhat short-lived, white head. This actually looks like a slightly hazy version of (insert any AAL name here). Smell: Heavy with orange and coriander, accompanied by just a hint of salty wheaten malt, and a mild funk. Taste: Take a swig of some verging-on-spoiled orange juice and, while holding it in your mouth, tilt your head back a little and pour about half a fast food salt packet into your mouth as well. Then close your mouth and swish. Voila, you have how this beer opens! As it progresses, the orange and salt fade into the background, allowing the musty funk to come more to the forefront, alongside some distinct herbal tones. The finish is a lingering salty funk. Mouthfeel: Light and effevervescent at first, but thereís something about this beer - possibly the way in which the opening taste is so very like partially spoiled OJ, that makes it seem as though it has that sort of filmy, almost stringy quality to it. Overall: This is a tasty gose. Would repeat.

Bottle. Pours a hazy yellow colour with a small white head. Aroma is lightly fruity. Taste is same plus wheat. Didnít really taste the coriander. Very good beer. Refreshing.

Bottle, about 6 months old. Massive gusher, slow but steady foam out of the bottle, unpourable. That being said, the aroma is nice, spicy, lots of coriander, wheaty, bretty notes, light lactic character, very spicy, sea spray. Taste is salty, very dry, spicy coriander finish. Palate is light, once the carbonation flies out the bottle it isnít so overcarbed anymore. Decent.
