COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Rapidly becoming know as the “Trefonen Guinness”. Dark and smooth with a rich flavour. Roast and chocolate dominate in the aroma. Not to sweet for its gravity.

Gravity pour from the barrel on 6th Sep 2014, half-pint, Bridgnorth Beer Festival. Really black with treacle and toffee in the nose. Fairly sweet taste as well, hints of both chocolate and liquorice if you dig deep enough below the molasses. Nice beer.

Gravity Cask @ Cambrian Railway Station as part of Oswestry Food & Drink Festival July 14. Pours pitch black with sweet molasses & very light toffee on the nose. Moderately sweet, oily mouthfeel, very mild roasted flavours with emerging plum and liquorice notes.

At Macc beer fest. Dark brown, pretty much black with next to no head. Roasted malt flavour and aroma with choc, slight aniseed. Not bad.

Cask conditioned handpump Malt Shovel Northampton A black beer with a white head. The aroma is pretty thin with a hint of milk. The taste is sweet to start with a fair amount of fruit and then some roastiness. A decent beer with an oily texture.
