Cask (handpull) Leicester CAMRA Festival 2006. Well, swipe me. I wait nearly 12 months before getting this rating on and find that the brewer has been and gone. Damn shame as it was a damn fine beer. Clean, clear fruits with a wafted caramel topping. Fun stuff - why do the good die young?

Cask Stillage from the cellar at the Crown Inn, Oakengates 28/04/2006 Bronze coloured hoppy and slightly fruity flavoured. Crisp and slightly creamy on the palate with some dryness and bitterness in the finish.

Cask conditioned - gravity dispense - Leicester BF. An amber brown coloured beer with a fruity aroma, although there is some toffee and diacetyl. The taste is malty and clean with some English hops. Acceptable for a first outing.
