NWAF 25 Jan 13. Gyldenbrun. Nesten ikke skum. Litt tung fruktig aroma. Smaken litt vassen med et visst karamellpreg. Tørr & bitter avslutning.

Cask @ The Brewery Tap, Leeds. Presents a slightly watery hop taste with a black tea bitterness and faint dark berries coming through. Not the best I’ve had from these guys. Sorry, girl... Chick even.

Cask conditioned at Minehead Beer Fest ’13. Reddish amber with slight head. There is a dry earthiness to this with a slight metallic note, there is a forest floor leafy note and just a hint of fruit in the close, something akin to elderberry.

Gravity, Crown Summer Fest, Nuneaton, 08/06/13. Slightly clouded ruby edged with halo. Hints of filter coffee and blueberry on nose. A bit dank with coffee and berry undertones. Bitter nut husk linger. OK.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cask at the New Inn, Harborne, Brum. Ruddy red. Fluffy, bubbly head. Smells tangy. Taste is pretty good - rich, spiced malts, with a crushed sea salt hop quotient. I needed a bit more hop, from this Amber, but it’s drinkable (certainly). Nice soapy mouthfeel.

Dark amber in colour with a thick creamy head. It has a small malty aroma with a mild fruit flavour and a medium bitterness.

Hand-pump, shared a half pint with Finn at NWAF ’13. Faint white head, fragile lacing. Red-brown coloured body, unclear. Malt-fruity aroma, lightly spiced. Flavour is built on fruit caramel and offset by berries and sappy fruits. Smooth bittersweet ending. A decent British bitter brew (Manchester, 25.01.2013).

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cask. Orangey red shade with a head that quickly vanishes. Plenty of resinous hops imparting lots of grapefruit and berry fruitiness. Taste-wise it falls somewhere between an American amber and British bitter. Lots of hop bitterness. Not bad.

Cask-conditioned at the Cheshire Beeriodical, Seven Stars, Bristol October 2012. Reddish amber with a decent, off-white head. Red berry fruits, some tangerines, caramel, slightly earthy malts and a dryish finish. Enjoyable.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
[cask at the Stockbridge Tap, Edinburgh] Pours the suggested red, slightly towards the amberish end of the spectrum. Aroma of caramel and grapefruit, straight from the off. Interesting mix of the soft and sweet with the sharp fruit. Flavourwise, the sweet element starts off, before being over-run by the bitter, dry kiwi hop in that Sauvinistic way. I don’t mean over-run as a bad thing, only that the finish edges towards the bitter. More good stuff from Offbeat
