COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This Double IPA uses premium American 2-row and a touch of light crystal malt to create a mellow malt foundation. Four different hop varieties are used in this beer. It spends one week dry hopping in the fermenter giving it a floral, slightly piney, grapefruit, and citrus aroma. Unlike most double IPAs, this beer shies away from a malty body and starts out with a clean bitterness that finishes off smooth and leaves you wanting more.

Pours a copper color decent thin tight head. Aroma is citrucy orange and a bit of grapefruit and sweet malt. Taste taste follows the aroma well with some spice notes upfront and some pineyness. Pretty tasty Dipa.

Poured up on tap at the Oggi’s in Point Loma and in an aroma killing tumbler too. It has a clear copper body with thin gold edges and supporting a thin dirty white head of foam. The aroma offers up pine hops mixed with malts and a bit of citrus hoppiness. The taste delivers a millisecond of malt sweetness before robust levels of pine hops hit hard along with a moderate degree of grapefruit like citrus hops. The citrusy hops exhibit a bit of flavor hops and quickly get into robust levels of resiny hop bitterness. Solid full flavor IIPA.

Crazily, I still have 2012 GABF notes to enter! Pours a clear copper color with a medium white head. A big nose of lemons and oranges, some light zest. One sided blast of citrus fruits, low bitterness, light finish of earthy malt and bitter lemons. Good.

Sampled @ Oggi’s Glendale draft night! Foggy burnt tangerine pour with a 1/4 inch eggshell crown. Nice evergreen, bright citrus, and peppery spice in the nose. Grapefruit pith, orange peel, and lemon zest in flavor. Mild caramel backbone. Pretty decent beer.

Clear copper pour with a small white head. Nose is sweet tropical fruit and caramel followed by plenty of citrus. Good grapefruit and tangerine notes, some pine, and a hint of peach. Sweet flavor of pineapple, caramel, and peach. Good grapefruit, some pine, light floral qualities, tangerine, and a mild bitterness.
