(Draft: Oggi’s in Mission Valley, San Diego, CA) I’m glad they call this an American Octoberfest because it pales in comparison to the real thing; The flavor is mostly just sugary, honey sweet; It’s lightly malty and moderately bitter; The palate is medium bodied with a lingering sweetness; Lightly malty nose is also sweet like honey and mildly hoppy, but overall, there’s not too much there; Light amber color; Off-white head quickly fades to a sheen despite plenty of tiny carbonation bubbles rising slowly through the beer; Some polka dots of lacing on the glass
