Draft pint in shaker at Oggi’s Garden Grove. Mahogany colored with trace of head. Lightly sweet malt flavor, thin bodied with clean finish. Not a great representative of its style, but pleasant enough.

Dark reddish brown in color... Aroma of sweet malts, peated malts, toffee... Flavor is smooth and malty, not much balance, lots of scotch and caramel notes... Great for what it is ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. It pours a clear, dark amber colored body under a minimal-sized beige head. The aroma is roasted with some peated hints, not peated malts though, more like dry peat. Some hints of dark chocolate and raisins. It’s full-bodied and soft on the palate, dryish. Roasted malts, damp forest and raisins in the flavor. Lasting bitter finish with something reminiscent of alcohol, which I doubt it is. 140829
