Huntington Beach - Easily one of the best brown ales I’ve had the pleasure of consuming. Unlike some ESB’s, this aroma showed some serious hop prescence and it was easily the star, but the malts were nice with enough sweetness and nuttyness to keep things balanced. The beer went down extremely easy, with notes of caramel, pine, nuts with a clean crisp finish. Reminded me in some ways of Drakes Hoppy Ass Brown. Nice beer.

Draft at Oggi’s, Liberty Station Point Loma. Light aroma of fruit and caramel malt. Decent amber color. White head that both filmed and laced. Rather thin bodied. Sweet caramel malt flavors insufficiently balanced with bitter hop. The finish is not at all dry.

Had a real bite for an amber - which is kind of an ambiguous classification for a beer. I thought this was more bitter than the IPA that I had before this one. It was a good beer, but not exactly what I expected. Just a bit too bitter.

On tap @ Oggis Mission Valley - Pours a clear deep amber color with a small off white head. Light lacing. Aroma is light malt and esters. Flavor is light malt and esters with just the right amount of bitterness. Light to medium body. A decent beer.

Tasted at Oggis. Reddish amber color with ivory white head. Faint malty aroma. Taste of caramel, yeast, and fruit, with a mild hoppy bitterness.

On tap @ Oggis North County Fair. Not too much to report here. This is a nicely hopped beer, and definitely something that is easy to drink. Goes well with Pizza too. An above average Amber.

An extremely hoppy aroma with some mild caramel malt notes. Smells more like a hoppy pale than an Amber. Dark amber in color. Flavor is more hops. With a small amount of caramel malt. Resiny on the palate.

On tap at the Santee Ca, location. Poured a pale redish color with some head. Well balanced amber, with a crisp clean finish. Some malts detected but overall pretty good.

On tap at Carmel Valley. Cloudy reddish colour, with some white head, lace in glass. C hop aroma. Definite bitterness and full mouthfeel from malt, which is there bit not pronounced. Some Golding hop. Better than average amber.
