4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Lovely bouquet of citrus and slight cotton candy. Clear, light golden in color with small, white head. Interesting melange of hop flavor - some citrus - grapefruits and limes, slight fruity hops and syrupy-like maltiness. The willamette add a neat Britishy feel to this left coaster. Very rich mouthfeel for such a light IPA, Some lingering resin. Dang, I am glad I can buy these locally!

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
22oz bottle from Southbay Drugs. Nice hazy orange color that looks like there was no filtering involved, cool. Nice hoppy smell but then a the taste departs to a more balanced flavor than I expected. I thought this was going to be a hop bomb like their hop juice DIPA. I bet these Left Coast beers would be great growler candidates.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft at brewpub. Pours a hazy straw leaning gold. A nice lemon and orange hop flavors at first with some peppery accents. Syrupness builds a little then lets off to a more light fruit juice flavor. Mouth is nicely bitter and fairly dry for and IPA. Decent IPA.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bomber - pours a lightly hazy gold, with a small, soapy lace - aroma of herbal hops and buttered toast - oily mouthfeel, moderate carbonation - flavor of astringent hop bitterness, honey sweetness, fairly noticeable diacetyl - the hops get even more astringent in the finish - it takes a lot of effort to fuck up an IPA, but by God, they’ve done it (okay, maybe "fuck up" is strong, since I’m still gonna drink this whole damn bomber) - disappointing considering the other Left Coast/Oggis brews I’ve had have been quite solid - I now hold out no hope for the bottle of Tripel I also bought today.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours a golden yellow with good head and lacing. Taste is mild for an IPA, hoppy just as advertised. A drinkable IPA but nothing special of note.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
22 oz bottle purchased at Chris’ Liquors in San Diego, California. Pour is hazed golden amber with a one inch white head that falls pretty fast. A couple of chunkies floating around. Aroma is initially quite skunky, but that dissipates pretty fast. Behind that is some chemical cardboard, oxidation. Taste is pretty oxidized right away, with vegetal taste and strong citrus orange and grapefruit hop bitterness behind the cardboard. Very grapefruit in character, some light straw malt way in the background. Finish is earthy, with persistent black pepper spiciness. Palate is thin to medium, light carbonation - a little dead tasting. I am certain this bottle was less than 100%.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Probably my favorite one of the trip to Oggis Santa Clarita. Big pine/citrus aroma and a lovely malt backbone. Not over the top heavy, but just very smooth and drinkable.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at the brewpub in Vista. Pours a hazy, bright orange body with a thin, white, quickly dissipating head that leaves absolutely no lacing. I credit this to the frosted glass they served me...ugh. Aroma of sweet citrus, but a little muted. Flavor is similar with a nice floral hop bite. A bit spicy and a lot of caramel. A moderate earthy linger with a dry finish. Palate is medium bodied and very sessionable. Overall, not a bad tasting IPA once the frosted glass affect went away, but it seemed to really affect the appearance and aroma. Oh well, I guess I have to rate based off of what I was served...
