Pailhead (2314), Allen Park, Michigan, USA Mar 12, 2008 Bottle: The aroma has lots of caramel with some muted citrus hops and faint yeastiness. It pours a transparent orange with a small soapy white head. The flavor starts with some creamy caramel with a balanced grapefruit hopped finish. Light-medium bodied with soft carbonation.
shadey (1325), Rochester, New York, USA Aug 24, 2008 22oz bottle acquired in trade. The pour is a deep melon orange with a huge pillow head of white foam. It reduces slowly leaving elegant lacing on the glass. The aroma is very fresh spicy hops that are very attractive and enticing. There is some sweetness there, but this a showcase for the west-coast hop varieties. The flavor is much the same, with a very nice blending of the potent hops with the lightly sweet malt in the background. I’m quickly going back for the glass - this one is addicting. ChazMania (288), Pasadena, California, USA Aug 9, 2008 Tap at Oggis in Orange. The aroma and color is much like other IPA’s, piney and orange/amber. I thought this lacked a unique flavor and although it’s drinkable, I found it a little off balance. rustychiles (429), Mesa, Arizona, USA Jul 14, 2008 Sampled at Made in the Shade festival in Flagstaff AZ. Aroma is very full of hops and a little malt. Has a lot of hop bitterness, with a nice malt sweetness to back it up. Pretty decent IPA. Hophead22 (146), Redlands, California, USA Jul 5, 2008 Quality IPA everytime I have it. Nice hops flavor throughout the whole pint. Very good. It had a great fruity and floral aroma, great light finish. Didn’t taste as hoppy as most IPAs, but the flavor was great.
