COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
SILVER METAL 2000 Great American Beer Festival! Big, bold hop flavors define this wonderful India Pale Ale. This is a stronger, hoppier version of a regular pale ale. Loads of Columbus, Cascade, Willamette and Centennial hops are used in this beer that would please any hop-head!

A nice hoppy floral aroma. A little pale in color. The head is very dry and not too tasty. The flavor starts off light with a bit of hops and then as the hops grow, the beer itself grows on you. Overall, I like this a lot.

Tasted on draft @ Oggiís Mission Valley. Golden amber/orange color with very little carbonation. Citrusy and fruity hop bitterness dominates. Best IPA Iíve ever had? Possibly second behind Two Hearted.

Lovely bouquet of citrus and slight cotton candy. Clear, light golden in color with small, white head. Interesting melange of hop flavor - some citrus - grapefruits and limes, slight fruity hops and syrupy-like maltiness. The willamette add a neat Britishy feel to this left coaster. Very rich mouthfeel for such a light IPA, Some lingering resin. Dang, I am glad I can buy these locally!

Strangely, the nose on this IPA is more malt than hops. Really nicely balanced with the citrusy hops not overpowering the biscuity mait body. Ends up with a nice astringency on the tongue. Nice copper color with a white, long lasting head. Really good, refreshing IPA.

Mmmmm, a San Diego style, hopped up IPA in Orange County. Typical floral hop aroma with a hop bite that tastes like home.

UPDATED: SEP 22, 2007 Deep copper color with a very dense, creamy head. Great hops aromatics with a strong aroma of citrus peel. Specific orange peel flavors with well-balanced bitterness and good crispness. Excellent offering.

On tap @ Del Mar Location. I donít know. I think Oggis suffers from being a chain: The beer is probably very different from location to location. Thats the only reason that I can think of as to why the reviews are relatively poor for this beer. Because, Tonight this beer rocked. The hop bite was SO intense, and the flavors were clean and aromatic. Freaking awesome.

This is an IPA well done! Nice orange color with a wispy head. Strong citrus and earthiness on the nose and strong hoppy taste countered just right with the sweet citrus.

Pours cloudy orange with a creamy head with some green sludge floating around. An enormous hopsack aroma with piney and grapefruity hops. Flavor matches and the hoppiness seems to have had to have come from pellets because of the overall intensity, ie. not rounded. This is like a great homebrewed IPA. Surprisingly, a fairly balanced bitterness. Great IPA.
