faroeviking (4134), Faroese Beer Republic über, Denmark Jul 27, 2008 Cask @ The Wharf, aalborg. Black colour. Aroma is a bit mild with roasted malt, chocolate and bitter hops. Thin mouthfeel. Mild bitter roasty malty flavour with dark fruits. Short roasty finish. tarjei (1154), Bryne, Norway Jul 26, 2008 1/2 pint cask at The Wharf, Aalborg. Aroma is roasted malt. Flavor is roasted malt and coffee, sweet dark fruit, some hoppy bitterness - and that´s nice! FatPhil (2090), Espoo, Finland Jul 14, 2008 Cask (Ealing BF2008)
Almost black, tiny off-white head. Dark and roasty aroma. Well-balanced in the mouth - burnt at first, but more bitterness coming from hops quite quickly afterwards. All round solid stout - very drinkable. Mes_and_Sim (4320), Highgate, Greater London, England Apr 13, 2008 A Sim rate (cask at Planet Thanet): Strong aroma of whiskey and rubber. It’s sweet and sour. Dark, almost opaque appearance with no head. The initial hitof chemical and cleaning products nearly put me off, but luckily the stout-like flavours of chocolate and coffee came through, overshadowing the slight tarmac and rubber taste underneath. theoakhillinn (7), Oakhill, England does not count Mar 30, 2008 Updated: Mar 31, 2008Classic Irish stout that has a reddish tint. Roasted malt on the nose with caramel and choc taste that is oh so smooth. Great finish. On tap as a guest at The Oakhill Inn, Fosse Rd., Oakhill, BA3 5HU Somerset. 31-03-08
